Around August 27, 2005, I saw an informerical on the Laser Storm Vacuum for three monthly payments of $39.95, free shipping and handling, for a total of $119.85. Along with this offer, they would send an additional free vacuum and free steamer. It sounded like a pretty good deal and the demostration was convincing enough for me to place an order. Upon placing my order, I was informed that there was a backorder to due a great demand on the vacuums and to allow 4-6 weeks delivery. I was given a toll-free telephone number to call to check on the status of my order and to wait up to 72 hours before calling so that they could process the order.

Weeks have gone by and I could never reach anyone on the toll-free number. Finally, in late September, I received my credit card statement showing a charge for IGIA - Tele8007118357 in the amount of $511.67. I tried calling this 800# to find out what these charges were for and was unable to get through. As of this date, it either rings no answer or I get a recording stating to call back on business hours which are M-F 8:30am to 5:00pm Pacific time. I have done so many times and can't get a live person. Today, I tried calling again, and this time I received a message stating to email them with my request or questions. I did exactly this. I also notified my credit card company to dispute these charges. I did not agree to these charges. According to the recording I ordered 4 vacuum cleaners and 2 steamers, 5 year warranty, 1 year supply of bags and my free shipping charges (I thought) were $94.00.

The charge were dated August 30th and it is now October 22nd. Something is terribly wrong here.

The recording could not find my order and stated that I needed to call back during regular business hours or email their customer service department. In the meantime, I was advised by my credit card company to close my account and to file a dispute/claim against IGIA. They will help get the charges reversed for me.

This is a scam. Buyers beware... it isn't what you think.
