I got an unexpected charge on my monthly qwest bill for $45. I looked closely at teh cahrges and it was for a type B collect call. My wife took the call from her mother in Ok. and the call only lasted 30 seconds or less. Her mother said call me at home , and my wife hung up and called her back.
The cahrge for the call was $37.30 and with an additional barrage of bogus charges billed by intellical op svcs totaling 8.03.
Total cost of the "4" min. call? $45.33
( the call was probably less than 30 seconds)
How is this legal? Why doesn't Qwest protect me from these predatory billing practices?
Never accept any collect calls again. Warning!!!
