Greetings-
I am an Indiana resident and currently on a furlough as of March 20th 2020 due to the COVID19 stay at home order. I am a full time employee of a trucking company located in Illinois. My company is closed due to the COVID19 stay at home order. I also have prior employment in Illinois with other trucking companies. Whenever the stay at home order is lifted, I will return to my current employer.
It will be 6 weeks that I am on the furlough, ( Friday May 1st ) and I have not received a single penny from the Illinois unemployment office. I have contacted various individuals named in this case, however no one will respond. I have tried for several weeks to contact IDES via website, email message and phone numbers with no response. I even sent in an employment verification letter to the Carpentersville office, with no response. No one is talking! I am eligible for unemployment benefits. At this time I am demanding $5600.00 in back pay for unemployment benefits. Every week that goes by, I am due apx $900.00 worth of benefits. I am not able to connect with IDES by any and all means. It is a continuous hamster wheel of chasing my tail.
