Jerk off Academy graduated with high honors deans list. Friend loaned him around 2k for an "investment" into the Jedi Mind Tricks show at Rocko's. Needless to say, the show never happened because Dave is an f*kin' idiot. Still has not repayed money to the "investor", and probably used it to pay for that sh*thole in Franklin. Calls are made to him, he never picks up, avoids you completely. Go to his apartment, "he's not there" ,aka, hiding in the bathtub. He probably ripped many of these emo and metal bands more than people know because they're all kids who don't know any better and just want to play a show. Rigged battle of the bands contests. The actual winner is just whoever has the most fans, not who has the better music, because that means more ticket sales and money at the door. He doesn't care if your band you have with your friends or your rap crew are successful, it's all about door sales, he couldn't give two shits. Hopefully as far as rap shows he tries to put on, hopefully he doesn't try anymore, and end up f**king it up yet again, further embarrassing the very little rap crowd we have in NH.

Ive been Dealing with this guy off and on for about 6 yrs. when it comes to business he needs some education.
Every show we play we had to sell tickets. (20-30)Usually the promoter helps with that. Posting on facebook is NOT promoting shows. We have NEVER (Thats right NEVER) been paid by dave to play a show.
On one occasion a few years back we sold 60 tickets (the most that night) and never even got a thank you let alone any kind of monetary gain.
Most people sticking up for dave are his friends that he helps get gigs, and hey, i get it hes your buddy, but the guy is a thief. A low down dirty, shifty, shady embezzler.
A friend was slated to open for 3 of his recent hip hop shows and ALL THREE GOT CANCELLED!!!
How does that even happen besides raping people for cash by promising opening slots and then still not having the money to pay the big names.
THEEEEEEN, after youve gone and spent the money on drugs you cant pay the openers their money back.
My friend has been owed 300 + from those three shows for at least a month with no compensation and this guy wont even return his calls and sends it straight to voice mail.
Anywhere else ive played NEVER has you pay to play, but i guess when you're trying to fuel a drug habit and support 17 kids who crash at your house day in and day out you gotta do some raping.
Im thirsty? More like im SHAAAAAADY!!

We have sold anywhere from 0 tickets to 50 tickets for Dave Southworth, Always has been more than fair with us. Never taken money from us. If he needed a deposit explained it accordingly. We played a big summer fest and sold 85 tickets for a summer show and he gave us $150 back. We didnt even ask for it. WEalso played a show in Oct for a band having a cd release party. He gave that band $1000 for payment, I know this for a fact because the band showed us the money.
Dave is a good guy. If you dont like him it must mean that something didnt go right in the way you handled the situation. That company books 12 shows a month. Not everyone iss gonna be happy. I have a friend who was supposed to play a jedi mind tricks show inn ov that got cancelled he paid 370 for tickets, Dave refunded all the money. It took him 2 weeks but my friend got all his money back.
Just my two cents.

This happened to my band and instead of paying us bvack he said we could play with a biger band and then never responded to any of our emails and told us he couldnt let us announce we were playing. Then didnt let us play that show and gave a show with the crappiest band that he could mpossibly fins and told he wouldnt make up sell tickets.

I'm on the side of the OP here. If a deposit was made and the event was cancelled then he should get his refund.
It really doesn't matter how great of a guy the owner is or how busy he may be. What does matter is he owes a refund and should have paid it back within a reasonable amount of time.

I really dont know the history of I'm Thirsty but I just know what has happened to many artist over one show... Maybe you don't realize but most of the artist are collage students and get the advance money from there parents and friends... So in saying that.. I have been ripped off...cause allot of time has gone by and still no funds returned...no calls returned.. If you call that good business practice... what is bad practices???
Not here to bash I'm Thirsty Just want funds returned....

I will be one to say that David and Jordan have never ripped me off or my bands. They are fantastic men. You keep your comments to yourself! If you feel you were treated this way, I bet you were. I would pay someone back like you. You probably swore at him. He always pays me, many other bands. Trust me. I know. Everyone who reads this. I'm thirsty and the workers in it are responsible. This person obviously is mad. I assure you...your money is fine. Goodluck with your additude Ryan.

that I work on the street team for mister david southworth and show's like that can fall through. I'm not saying it's an excuse to not pay you back, but I don't appreciate you telling people that he is a rip-off, when it's only happened on one occasion and he probably had a lot going on. He's a genuine guy and i've been going to rocko's for years. He puts on the best shows, and i'm sick of people being ungrateful for the things he actually pulls off for all of the kids who enjoy going to shows. I'd appreciate it if you didn't talk about the guy who made my second home because he was trying to make more money just to keep it open, and i'm sure there's about a thousand other kids who would say the same.
