Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Purchased Gucci handbag from indulgence handbags.  They advertise using actual GUCCI photos of their bags on the website.  When I received the bag it was damaged hole in the hand bag, and I questioned the authenticity since the patent leather trim was plastic.

It came with a Gucci control tag that I am pretty sure was used and the serial number in the bag was not an authentic Gucci number.

When I contacted the merchant he was very rude and told me that the bag was 100% real and from an outlet store and he never promised that it would be as pictured in his photo.  He also said that he would not be threatened and coerced to give me a refund since his company does not accept damaged goods back.  I guess he was saying that I put the hole in the bag.  Have photos of the hole in the bag and evidence of where it was glued not sewn.  Pretty sure that GUCCI does not glue their handbags.

I did some research on the company and found that many consumers have had the same experience and he sends the same exact response to the customers.  He has also operated under several different company names and those companies were known to sell fake bags.

Do not purchase from this company.  They are a fraud.  You will loose your money.  I am in the process of filing a complaint with the authorities since he is clearly selling fake bags.  Not sure how companies like this can use Google secure checkout.

THE SCAMMER CONTINUES TO VICTIMIZE INDULGENCE HANDBAGS, IGNORE HIM AND HIS VICIOUS LIES!

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thu, January 28, 2010

It is extremely sad how this man will not stop attacking our website and spreading vicious lies. But that is the power of the internet, and unfortunately in this case, this man is using it for ill purposes. So once again we have to defend ourselves. He has a personal vendetta because he tried to scam our company out of a bag, and when he failed to do so, and we exposed him for the liar that he is, he went on a tyrade and posted vicious lies about our company. For someone who had an executive position at a forbes 500 company, who is extremely wealth, I find it very ironic that a) he has so much free time on his hands and b) that he would be so cheap to purchase a handbag online rather than going to a department store. He is over 60 years of age yet his behaviour is that of a spoiled child. Instead of wasting everyone's time posting vicious lies on websites, he should use his time and his wealth for good, instead of for ill. Every single thing that he posts is a lie, and we have all his emails saved as well which would expose all the lies that he has written on the internet. So - here is yet another rebuttal to his yet again lies. 1. The origin of our handbags is listed on both the About Us page and the FAQ's page - which are links on the top tab of our website, in plain view for anyone to see. We have always disclosed this information as we have nothing to hide - it is not in fine print - if he has trouble navigating a very simple to use website, then perhaps he should spend some time learning how to use a computer - if he can't read, then perhaps he should spend time learning how to or getting glasses - because what he said is a plain lie, anyone is welcome to visit our website www.indulgencehandbags.com and click on the aforementioned links to read about the origin of our handbags. 2. Google checkout and Amex were not the reason he was refunded. His vicious lies were creating so much stress after the holidays to our staff that we simply did not want to deal with it anymore, so we refunded him IN FULL right away through Google checkout WITHOUT him even returning our handbag and wallet - and yes there was a wallet too which he conveniently fails to mention. We take care of our customers by refunding them right away if they are not satisfied 100% - we would not have a merchant account if we did not do this - but our customers also need to return the bags in the timeline outlined and in the condition outlined - not like this man who received the handbag, then damaged it by being neglectful, then creating all these vicious lies just because we didn't want to accept it back damaged. I'd love to see him try to pull this on a department store. But because we are online, he has no respect and feels he can do what he wants, say what he wants, with no remorse or consequences. We refunded him in full - right away - it's amazing how he won't admit it but rather lies. But then a pathological liar can't help himself and should seek help as such. 3. He did not take OUR bag to Gucci - that we know for a fact - so yet again vicious lies. They would not say it's not their merchandise - he is completely full of it. He returned our bag and wallet well over a week after we refunded him. He returned a damaged bag, thank goodness he did not damage the wallet as well. We cannot resell a damaged bag so that was a huge amount of money lost. 4. We do not ship bags out of a postal store - who in the heck does that?? The postal address in Seattle is our MAILING address only - if people wish to write to us - our warehouse is located in the USA - and no we are not going to disclose that address for fear of what this deranged individual might do - not to mention that noone knows the location of warehouses for online stores or department stores, reason being potential robbery due to the nature of the goods. Cashing checks? Again this man is on glue - if anyone were to read our Payment Policy, they would see that we accept credit cards through Google checkout, that's it - we don't accept checks, checks are not secure, so many merchants get ripped off by getting bogus checks. So yet another vicious lie. Anything that this man writes, we can easily post a rebuttal to, because we have the facts, we have the evidence - and I don't care how much wealth this man has, it does not give him the right to try and scam a store, to victimize and threaten it's employees and to post vicious lies on the internet to try and discredit us. He seems to have this notion that wealth means power - that it means that you can step on other people's hard work and have zero respect for them. Well it doesn't - and we aren't going to allow him to get away with this - he might be Goliath and we might be David, but who won in the end? He is not a savvy consumer, he is not savvy anything. He is a mean, vicious, arrogant, wealthy man who finds sites and people to prey on because he has too much time on his hands and because he feels he has the power to do so. He has now joined the Purse Forum and I feel sorry for people on that site that have to listen to his vicious lies - honestly, he is not on that site to help anyone, but rather to throw his pompous weight around and to try and befriend women - does any of this sound like a normal individual? Honestly you just have to look at the facts to see who the victims are here. We've had no wrath on anyone other than him - we've tried so hard to be nice to him but honestly when someone constantly attacks and threatens you, you reach a point where enough is enough and you have to defend yourself. We have done nothing wrong, and 3 years worth of customers can attest to that. They are the savvy consumers, not him. So rather than continously attacking us, leave us alone. You've done enough damage, you've caused stress to our staff - go away, find some good use for your wealth and your free time. There are terrible things going on in the world right now with earthquakes and such - put your energy towards that instead of towards a site that did you no wrong - all this over a $600 order which was refunded in full. Unbelievable. And to any merchants reading this, we respect his privacy enough to never publish his name or personal details, even though he did that to us - but we wish we could because people need to be warned of this unstable man and the damage he does. To him - one last word - get the help that you need - we wish you luck and we wish you peace. You can continue with your tyrade, but we will not respond anymore. We are done with you, with your stress, with your vicious lies - we won't waste any more energy on you. I hope one day instead of wasting your energy on anger you put it to good use. But leave us alone. And by the way - the owner is a woman -  that's who he has hurt and attacked - so all you women out there on the forums - beware of this man! Enough said.

indulgence handbags owner filing report that bags are outlet bags and not fake!

All I can say is buyer beware. The owner is now saying that his bags are outlet bags, or samples.  If they are, then why doesn't he say so on the front page of his website and not in fine print.  Well before returning my bag I took extensive photos of the bag.  I took the photos to both a Gucci store manager like the owner of indulgence handbags said I should.  They told me it was not their merchandise.  So I took it to a Gucci outlet.  They also told me it was not an outlet bag.  It was not authentic.  So you can believe the owner  of this company which ships bags out of a postal store providing merchants with a shipping address and cashing checks for them, or a savvy consumer who refuses to let anyone else be subject of this scam artist. Check out a website purse forum.  There you can see that other people have been subject to the wrath of indulgence handbags.

INDULGENCE HANDBAGS SELLS ONLY 100% AUTHENTIC PRODUCTS

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sat, January 09, 2010

This customer originally purchased a handbag from our store just before Christmas, he contacted us outside of our return policy and asked to return or exchange the handbag because his 'wife' felt that it was too large for her. He did not have any complaints whatsoever regarding this handbag, other than the size. I worked with him over the course of many emails to try and help him choose a suitable handbag for his 'wife' and after many emails it was decided upon which handbag he'd like to exchange his handbag for, in addition, he wanted to pay extra and purchase a wallet too. Does this sound like the same man who has written vicious, unwarranted, untruthful lies about our company without any supporting evidence? It doesn't - and that is why when we shipped this customer the exchange handbag and wallet, we were shocked by his email in which he claimed that the handbag we shipped him has a missing rivet by the handle and that he 'feels' it is not authentic. This is a situation where we had no issues with this customer, and he had no issues with us, until we shipped him the exchange handbag, and in our opinion his 'wife' a) did not like it or b) damaged it - and in both cases he knew that he could not return it because our policy is that exchanges are a one time deal, they are a final sale. So, unfortunately, rather than accepting our policy and keeping the handbag which is 100% authentic, he fabricates these vicious lies and creates posts on a number of websites to try and damage our business. We receive very few returns, and those that occur, are refunded accordingly. Returns that are outside of our return policy are not accepted. I doubt this 'gentleman' would behave in this manner with Saks or Neimans - or perhaps he is one of those people that has no respect for other's property or policies and feels that he is entitled to create his own and when he doesn't get what he wants, he throws a temper tantrum like a child. His behaviour is unacceptable. We have email evidence of how nice and accomodating we were to this customer until he tried to force us to accept a damaged bag for return. He threatened our business, we tried to remain polite - but i'm sorry - if any human is threatened, he does not simply cower, he defends what is rightfully his and what is truth. We did not rip off this customer by any means and in this rebuttal you will hear fact and truth, not the vicious lies of a childish customer.

1. He was shipped a brand new handbag, inspected by 2 staff members, the handbag had no damage.

2. The handbag we shipped him has patent leather trim, not plastic.

3. It was shipped with a dust bag and a controllato card - the card was not used, perhaps a bit aged considering this handbag is from last year and travelled from the outlet store in Italy to the USA but it is a bona fide real controllato card and insignificant in the scheme of things.

4. The serial number not being 'real'? The customer does not work for the brand, he has no affiliation with the brand, so I find it incredible how he would know what the brand's serial numbers are? He doesn't and this is further evidence of the extent of lies this customer has fabricated.

5. The photo was not a stock photo, it was of the actual handbag, we do not take photos from any brand's website. We certainly never told him that it would not be as pictured in the photo - who in their right mind would use a photo then tell the customer 'oh that's not the handbag in the photo' - that is an outright vicious lie. He was shipped exactly the handbag in the photo 100%.

6. "Many consumers" have not had complaints with Indulgence Handbags. Besides this particular customer, we've only had one other that was a challenge, and hers was a simple case of not following the return policy - of being offered an exchange and then doing nothing about it. We can provide many Google checkout customers who are avid, educated shoppers worldwide who have written rave reviews about our products and our website.

7. The customer was asked, for his peace of mind, and to prove that we sold him a 100% authentic handbag, to take the handbag to the brand store manager for an opinion on authenticity. Does that sound like a store who is fraudulent? No - we encourage our customers to verify for themselves if they ever have doubts, which 99% don't - and this customer was also encourage yet conveniently he chose not to take it in for authentication - I wonder why?? Could it be because he does have a 100% authentic handbag and by the brand deeming so would result in forfeiture of his 'claim' and proof that he fabricated vicious lies. I know that if I buy a product online and I have questions or doubts, I certainly don't spread false accusations and slander a business unless I have followed due diligence and I have proof - which he does not and will not.

8. Something to keep in mind - when he sent the 1st email claiming 'damage', we asked for pictures as evidence as we know the handbag was not shipped that way - it took him days to provide this evidence, because clearly there was none, and when we told him that we don't accept damaged handbags for returns, that's when he put a hole in the handbag.

This customer will stop at nothing to force an illegal return. He has damaged our handbag, he is trying to damage our business with these vicious lies, he is a retail stores worst nightmare and if it weren't for privacy laws, we would expose him for the fraudster that he is.

He can file any complaint that he wishes, but we will not allow this customer to hurt our business. He needs to be stopped so that other innocent stores are not hurt by him.

Furthermore, we use Google Checkout because we have a stellar reputation with our actual customers. This is one bad seed, this customer.

Lastly - he was offered by our senior manager a full refund if he returned the handbag and wallet - but this fraudster demanded a full refund first - and then conveniently would keep the handbag and wallet - so I ask, who is defrauding who?? It's evident what he is attempting to do.

In closing - we have never operated under any names other than Indulgence Handbags since 2007 in Seattle Washington. We are a small family owned licensed incorporated company who purchases handbags in very small quantities from other retailers, outlet stores, factory outlet stores and overstock channels in the US and Europe. We do not have not will not purchase from China - so our products are 100% authentic. It is a shame that we are falsely linked to other companies - we saw this false allegation a long time ago but felt it pointless to get into debates with vicious people who have nothing better to do with their time than hurt innocent businesses. But it's time now for us to speak - we are NOT Dluxe Bags or Fashion Steal or anything but Indulgence Handbags. We were falsely linked to Dluxe Bags only because we had the same suite number - that's it which is weak and pathetic. By stating that, it is stating that Joe Smith who lives in San Francisco at Suite 12300 and Virginia Williams that lives in New York at Suite 12300 are really the same person??? It's evident they are not - and we are not the same as Dluxe Bags - whoever they are as I see they no longer exist. We cannot falsely be tied to any company other than Indulgence Handbags, who we are and only are that. We do not rip anyone off, we are consumers as well, and for the 99% of customers that purchase from us, they can attest to our credibility and honesty.

I do wish this customer the best of luck, I feel sorry for him that he is such a vicious unhappy person.

End of story.
