Complaint Review: INDUSTRY MODEL & TALENT STUDIOS - EDGEWATER New Jersey

This how started, last September 23, 2006 my wife went to the Mall for shopping, then a person approach to stated that my daughter was cute and she can become a modeling, well they offer a special offer of $ 700.00 for a photo shoot, that it will be everything to become a modeling career, well then we went to the Oct 2, 2006

To paid the deposit for the photo, then we comeback for the photo shoot on Oct 8, 2006,

After the photo shoot been taken, they told us that we need an appointment to see the slides pictures to chose the best 5( Here the trick they policies said that you can request a refund 3 days after the photo shoot) but that day they don't give us any contract ,so they told us to see the photo slides on Oct 12,2006 ( 4 days later, mean you can't request refund by that time),so after the photo slides view they said the slides cost extra $ 40.oo , then after that other director , request that the package cost another $1,400.00

To advertised the photo on a fake website. I ready paid $700+$40+$400= $1140.00.

So a day after I did a research on the BBB OF NEW JERSEY BAD BUSINESS BUREAU, I found that company has over 40 complain ready for rip off people we false promise, they don't even advertised any photo that said they do.

The worth thing about all of this is that you can repair the money , but not my child dream, now I can't even tell my daughter that was SCAM..

This is how INDUSTRY MODELING & TALENT operate:

1) They hire youngest to be at the Mall and plaza to promote the business

2) They target Hispanic & Black community (thinking that Hispanic don't know how modeling work)

3) They approach to you telling that you kids are cute, and why to starter on modeling career

4) They offer a promotion package worth from $700 to $ 950

5) They stated that package is only thing you need to become modeling career

6) Then you meet with (1) Director to collect the initial fee for the photo shoot

7) Then you meet with (2nd) Director to schedule a photo shoot section

8) Then after the photo shoot you need to schedule a slides view section to pick the best five (5) photo for you comp card (Here is all the trick, at this point they don't give you the contract, the contract said you allow to cancel the contract within 3 days after the photo section! Guess what the appointment for the slides view section is always After the three (3) days, so you can't do anything later.

9) Then the day for the Slides view section , the person that is going to pick the best five , look totally unprofessional (Young girl seen with no experience )

10) Then they come up collecting $40 for the slides, saying that they collect that!

11) After the young girl select the best five shoot, then you going 3er Director ,is like to many director so you can't blame one o the other and all then clean them self

12) With the 3er Director you get shock when they talk about the package, $ 450, $1,200, $1,600, etc..

13) Now you are right on the middle because y cant go back is to late and you want going forward to start you kid on the modeling, even you complain that nobody told you about all those expense packages.

14) So at the end you been force to package for the internet GIGA, a website witch is fake, they said is private! How come a modeling website is going to be private, who is going to seeeeeee!!

15) Note the funniest thing is that Director offer the Internet promotion package, but she don't even a computer to show that website o anything related.

16) And because they don't promised a job, if you never been contact for any job, that will be no they fault, and they can clean the hand easily.

17) Finally look that they don't even send out any comp card o promote over the internet, the crude reality is they totally SCAMMED.
