InstaTrim RIPOFF! I ordered a free supply but they kept billing me. I received no products, was offered a refund but have not received 7 months later. Mandan North Dakota
I saw the InsaTrim "free trial" website and ordered to pay only $6.95 s&h. The supply came, along with the exercise band, and much to my surprise charges of $36.90 continued on my credit card but I NEVER recieved the products.
I emailed "customer service" and called the toll free number to inquire. I was told there had been a shipping problem to my area (Midwest) and that a refund in the amount of $147.60 would be sent to me. I waited several months with no credit to my card or a refund in the mail. I have email correspondence stating "we apologize for the delay your refund check will be mailed today". This amount totals 4 months of charges with no products received.
I am guilty of not thouroughly reading the terms and conditions. I see now that there is an area on which to click if you purchased prior to October 1, 2003, as I had. This section explains the monthly shipments will continue if you do not cancel. I honestly cannot tell you if that information was on the original terms & conditions.
I am frustrated with the deceit and lies with which this company is allowed to continue. If I had received the products I would have been able to cancel immediately instead of the process that has occurred.
I do NOT want the products, I want my refund and I have documentation to support that the refund would be coming - twice! One dated in January and the other in March, both of 2004.
