PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too received this same email... And I was so eager to get my Website on the search engines that I fell for it "Hook, Line, and sinker" PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY... It's like setting fire to your hard earned dollars! They are WORTHLESS!

A little history- I contacted the Company in Jan. (4 months after we entered into our contract). Very upset because I could NOT fine my Website under MOST of the words or on "Goggle" One of the most common search engines. They sent reports for My least favorite words or parses at the bottom of my list, for some of the least used search engines, some I had never even heard of. I Trademarked the Name of my Product that I invented, and my Website is the productsname.com, and you couldn't even pull MY SITE up under ANY search engines using the NAME of the product... When I started with them they asked me to submit 15 words or parses that someone would probably use in search of my product or a product that is used for the same reasons. It took 3 Months to have ANY results and when you did see something it was some off the wall search engine. My Webmaster said it was very obvious what they had done. They "Spammed" the search engines with the same words or parses and repeated them over and over. From what I understand NOW is that IF you do this, the search engines will recognize what you are doing and throw your submissions out. If not ALL they will use the least used ones. But in my opinion, the most commonly used words you couldn't even find me.

When I called and complained the gentleman that answered and that I spoke with was extremely Condescending, rude and VERY Defensive. Especially, when I mentioned that I had read complaints on this website from other UNHAPPY customers that felt that had not gotten their moneys worth, he then offered to refund my money. . He got Rude and Sarcastic and downright childish in his reaction. I asked him WHY the MAIN word, THE PRODUCT NAME did not come up and all he could say is "Any idiot that knows the name of your product should KNOW to just type it in and add the .com .

I couldn't believe it when he said that. It was like DUHHH!!! yet I would and everyone that has contact me to order my product said, you ought to just be able to type the word, (The name of the product" and have it pop up) Well, It DOESN'T! So what good is that? TO have a website the name of the product, yet you type in the product name and it is nowhere to be found!?!?!?. So then my salesgirl got on the phone and assured me that by the next month it would be fixed and apologized for the idiot I spoke with.. Well, 3 months later you still are unable to pull up my site under the name.the ONLY way is IF you put the name and add the.Com.. It is just ONE word and when you type it in you will see and read the survey that is off of MY WEBSITE. MY information on COMPETITORS websites but my d**n site does NOT come up! When I called furious and canceled they proceeded to bill me for 3 more months and when I refused to pay, I am NOW in a fricking collection agency. I paid for 8 months and got NOTHING! Gosh I only wish I had known about your site before to check them out. I ABSOLUTELY would NOT have wasted MY MONEY. THEY ARE TOTAL RIP-OFFS. AND have horrible customer service.. And they make EMPTY Promises. As far as the curious, "Raving" responses on here for their "Satisfied" Customers...

All I can say is they were probably paid off or they are employee's or relatives, because for the NORMAL little guy needing help they are AWFUL!

Somewhere In the Middle

I am a former employee of Internet Advancement, and I have a very good grasp of how their programs work. I'd just like to clear up a few questions and issues, and remind people that the truth is always somewhere in the middle. Can Internet Advancement get you ranked on Search Engines? Yes, they can, and they do it every day. Is their success rate as high as they say? No, it is not. What they do works, but it will not work for everyone. It works out great for a few people, it works out okay for most people, and it works out terrible for enough people that you get large numbers of complaints from people who were failed. Will Internet Advancement give you a refund? Yes... eventually. They will try every tactic they can to keep you as a customer first without refunding a dime, and then they will try every tactic they can to lose you without losing your money. In the end, however, they know they have a contract to honor, and they will give a refund. Just don't expect it promptly and without a bit of arm-wrestling. Is there really a Naomi? Yes and no. She exists, but that isn't her name, and it isn't even her job anymore. There was a Naomi who did that job once, but now it's an entire (small) department. Is the contract fair? Not really. There are lots of little snags and barbs in it for the unwary. Is it horrible? No, it isn't. There is no minimum time period for the contract (you can opt out at any time), and results are required by the company. Usually the minimum is exceeded, even if just barely. The company stays in business because it has a better success ratio than loss ratio. Do the employees of Internet Advancement know they're being dishonest about anything? Usually, no. Company propaganda is pretty firm, and employees are force-fed all the "virtues" of the company so that in most cases, they don't even question that they company is benevolent, if not infallible. You're dealing with a crop of fairly imperceptive high school dropouts to whom this is the best career option they have, and they will believe anything IA tells them about how the programs work. Management is aware of the problems, but they keep this away from the salespeople, so for the most part if you were conned into a sale, you were sold by someone who was in turn conned by his or her training manager, and doesn't know he's ripping you off. Are the names the salespeople and reps give you real? Yeah, those are their real names. You are really talking to Jason, or Josh, or Rie, or Brian. You could look them up in the phonebook or meet them face-to-face at the office and read their nametag if you wanted. They are not lying to you the entire time. Should you be careful when you sign up with IA? Yes, you should, but just do your homework. Know what you're gambling on, and check out your competition. If you have a market that's saturated online and you're competing with hundreds of millions of sites, you're going to need to invest a lot of money (thousands) in order to get high rankings. Part of the problem is how the programs are put across by the salespeople, but also realize that you get what you pay for. If the salesperson tells you you need a high-end program and you wheedle him down to a low-end program, you may end up paying the price for that because your market is simply too competetive, and you weren't willing to put out the cash to see returns on your investment. Be smart, do research, and try not to be too paranoid about how these things work. There are ups and downs, successes and failures, and the truth about how these programs work is somewhere in-between what the salesperson tells you is true and what the people on this board will rant is false.
