Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On July 3,2008 an online ad for AcaiBerry came to me as an email ad. It claimed to do great things and had an inexpensive $5.99 plus andothe $1.00 for a trial offer. I ordered the product and about 12-14 days later my order came and I began the 14 day trial. Nothing really happened as I used the product other than I went to the bathroom urgently once a day.

Next, on July 27,2008 a 2nd package came with 2 more bottles of the product. I hadn't ordered it so I didn't open it, but returned it as "Refused Mail" and sent it back. I then checked my Credit Card online and found that they had charged my card $88.97.

I got the phone number(1-866-440-7533) for the company and called them and told them I hadn't ordered the 2nd order of the product and wanted my money back.

I was given an email address: [email protected] and told to ask for a refund there. I emailed them all of the above information and asked for a refund.

They replied on 7/29/08 and flat out refused to credit my VISA. I emailed them another request telling them I was a senior citizen on fixed income and couldn't afford to waste money like this.

They replied 7/31/08 and offered me $34.99 saying it would be half the cost minus shipping costs. Again I emailed them and told them this was not acceptable. This leaves me paying $88.97 for something I didn't order and don't have because I sent it back trusting they would refund my money.

I feel really used and abused by this company, and at this point, I don't feel I will ever use a credit card to pay for anything online. This idea of launching automatic monthly charges without the customer's specific written concent is very deceptive. Congress needs to look into this abusive practice.

I have filed a "Disputed Transaction" through my bank. In checking the online complaints about this company it is obvious that there is a common pattern of practice as I described. I need my money back.

When I looked for an address or phone number on the Used bottle of AcaiBerry, It had absolutely no contact information and doesn't even say if the product is manufactured in the United States. This is really scary for safety reasons. I'm sorry I was so trusting and glad I sent the stuff back.
