I replied to an ad for a home based business and authorized a charge of $2.97 to my Credit card for a information kit. I was transferred to another web site(ICM) to create
my own website;confused and mislead since the information kit was suppose to be mailed to me. I decided to NOT go forward with submitting any information on line until I received the information kit I just paid for and closed the webpage Three days later my credit card was charged $149.95 by ICM Websites. On May 24, I called ICM websites and was disconnected twice. When I finally spoke to someone, I was told that my three day trial, that I never knew about, was over the they would not refund the $149.95. I argued that I only signed up to receive an information kit that had NOT been sent to me and they hung up on me. I called back and the same thing was repeated. I do not have a cancellation number because they refused to cancel the program and asked me to go to my credit card company and good luck. The refund policy is not listed anywhere I was told the cancellation policy when I called to cancel.I tried calling them the minute I noticed all this crazy information they were requesting when they said it had to be processed before we could look at it. So of course I called every day from day one and got nothing but the run around. I find my self dealing with company called ICM websites The company sent me username and pass word, but I never get the package by mail, then I called the company to find out: How much they charged me???I found out they charged me the amount of $149.95.I called the company to refund my money, they refused .ICM Websites charged me $2.97 for information that I never received and $149.95 I have no idea what for. I did not find out this charge until I got my credit card statement. So I called my credit card company, which knew ICM very well, told me $149.95 was the membership they charged me. What membership? I had no clue! I also found out from my credit card company that I was not alone and there were a lot of ICM rip-off victims like me. They provided me ICM's phone to call. I did it! However, ICM refused to refund my money. The staff who answered phone are very rude and no heart at all. I can not believe they are still in business. How many more victims needed until putting ICM Websites out of business?
WAS SIGNING UP FOR WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A
MAKE MONEY FROM HOME PROGRAM. WAS DIRECTED TO "ALSO" SIGN UP FOR THIS 2.97 PROGRAM TO HELP WITH THE BUSINESS BECAUSE ITS ALL INTERNET BASED. THE SITE TRYS TO GET YOU TO SIGN UP FOR CREDIT CARD PROCESSING SO I STOPPED RIGHT AWAY AND CONTACTED THE COMPANY TO SEE WHAT THEY WERE ALL ABOUT. I WAS WITHIN MY TRIAL PERIOD THAT I DIDNT EVEN KNOW ABOUT HUNG UP WITH THEM AND 3 DAYS LATER I WAS CHARGED 139.95 FOR NOTHING. I CALLED BACK AND THEY REFUSED TO REFUND ME. I DEMANDED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER BUT GUESS WHAT THERE WERE NO MANAGERS AVAILABLE. THIS REP WAS RUDE AND TOLD ME OVER AND OVER THEY WERE NOT GOING TO REFUND ME.
