Jabor International Ahmed Al Sada Associates & Consultants Qatar Funding Scam Doha, Qatar Internet
Was contacted by Jabor International regarding a possible investment into our tech start-up. Looked at their website and seemed worth a flier. I was turned over to Dr. Ahmed Al Sada who was the lawyer and had a 6 week correspondance with him giving him business plans, investment docs, etc. Our lawyer negotiated the terms and conditions with him. The investment amount was $6 million. We had to pay $9,000 for a business license in Qatar. Like I said, it was a flier so I didn't mind sending the $9k.
We were informed that our project was accepted and that they would execute our docs and wire the money the following week. The following week I emailed requesting the wire confirm and Dr. Al Sada informed me that we had to pay a 1.75% tax or $105,000 before the government would release the money. This was never, ever mentioned before. Fearing the worst, I told him that they should net the tax against the money they were going to send us and send us $5,895,000. I also offered up that we would put the $105k in attorney escrow. Neither was acceptable because "the money had already been transfered into a different account by their accounting department" which made no sense at all. It was very strange that during the entire process it would take days for them to answer my emails and now that I dug my heels in he answered my emails within minutes.
Don't know if Jabor International is legit. Jabor has a nice website with pictures and stories about their investments. I tried to do some digging around about an investment they made in a precision machine company in Sweden but ran into multiple dead ends.
