James D. Veldhuis, P.C. Failed to get driver's license back, provided no counseling! Mount Pleasant Michigan
I paid $1500 to get my driver's license back and my notion was denied! I am now barred for a year to get a retrial to get my license back. Mr. Veldhuis did not counsel me in any way, and I did not recieve any calls or support from him.
When on the spot, I admittedly froze and forgot my 12 steps and serenity prayer, however I have not drank since 2006 and have been attending AA since then. James did not speak up on my behalf when the judge was speaking to me and I was struggling, nor did he provide me with any information before the trial to know what I needed to study for, otherwise I would have been better prepared.
He wasted the time of my pastor, my AA group, and my case manager who all had to attend multiple hearings and had to write multiple letters on my behalf.
I spoke to another person in my AA group who was a 4th offense DUI who recently got their license back, and his attorney provided him with literature, coached him regularly, and made sure he was completely prepared for the trial and knew exactly what the judge would be asking so that there were no surprises. James D. Veldhuis did not do any of this, and I wish I would have spent my $1500 elsewhere.
This is absolutely an unacceptable waste of time, money and effort on both my treatment team and myself who is on a fixed income and struggles with mental health issues.
