We had Jared set a perfect diamond, from another ring, into a new setting and ring purchased from them. Two weeks after Jared cleaned and inspected the ring, the stem holding the diamond in place broke and the diamond was lost. We took the ring back to the store and their Gemologist confirmed that the stem did indeed break due to a weakness in the stem construction material. However they refused any liability to replace the stone because it was not purchased from them. We contend it was the ring's fault and not the diamond's that the stem broke and therefore Jared should replace the missing stone according to their normal guarantee with rings that they sell.

This was not our first time doing business with Jared. Within the past three years, we purchased wedding rings (diamonds), another expensive ring besides the one in our report, and a $500 watch. Jared considered us special customers - all the more reason to stand behind the quality of their merchandise.
