BEWARE. ALL CONS are charming, beguiling and likeable. It are those qualities which enable them to fleece their victims. Jean Himmelstein is 72 Years old, who would have her victims that she is a skilled legitimate business woman. In fact, she has NEVER held a real job. She cheated her own Father, who adopted her when she was an infant.

Jean Himmelstein has always been a Loser. She is a corpulent slob, who never had any friends so she turned to crime in order to fit in with people she viewed as cool. She was willing to lie, cheat and steal in order to fit in. She and her self appointed BFF, Lewis Kaplan, ran the Ponzi scheme. Several Cases in the Los Angeles County Superior Court system confirm this. Case # BC 314 621 Case # BC296 839,

Somehow, one would think it is due to JEAN HIMMELSTEIN buying her way into their good graces, JEAN HIMMELSTEIN is the Vice President of the WEST COAST JEWISH THEATRE.
Surely, JEAN HIMMELSTEIN did NOT disclose that she and her best friend, confidant and business partner ripped off many affluent Jewish people in a ponzi scheme involving the sale of Lobsters.
If the WEST COAST THEATRE knew this, surely they would not be associated with this mendacious thief.

Jean M "Jeannie" Himmelstein donates money to the Beverly Hills Theatre Community, including the prestigious GEFFEN THEATRE.
Jeannie donates money, which gives her access to people with whom she can associate. Jean Himmelstein schmoozes with the Director's, Producers and other fellow donors, holding herself out as a woman with "broad experience" in business and investments. Jean is a fraud, which is evidenced by the public record in the Los Angeles County Court Records.
What the Theater Community in Los Angeles did NOT know, is that Jean HImmelstein and dear friend Lewis Kaplan were involved in numerous lawsuits alleging fraud, unjust enrichment and a ponzi scheme. Jean Himmelstein and Lewis Kaplan, now deceased, are lethal. Lewis Kaplan was caught in a check kiting scheme, where he ripped off nearly a million dollars.
According to Jean Himmelstein, she loved Lewis Kaplan and Lewis "Louie" Kaplan loved her!
Below is an "eulogy" written by Jeannie Himmelstein for her dear friend, confidant and business partner Lewis "Louie" Kaplan. Jean loved "Louie", because he could always make her laugh...What Lewis and Jean did to their victims is no laughing matter.

Lewis used to phone me, and the start of the conversation would always be the same -"JeJeJeJeannie" he would say. I would laugh and respond, "Hi, Louie, Louie." We both loved songs. Funny how I can hear him saying that as clear as a bell in my head. Kinda nice. Hope it lasts a long time. But Lewis deserves something more formal from me, so here goes.
My dearest Louie, Louie gave my husband, Gene, a run for his money in the uniqueness department. Both of them were charming, handsome, intelligent and fun loving, but Lewis had that SPECIAL sweetness about him that I found very endearing.
I always knew he truly cared about me, but in the year before his death, he outdid himself in the caring department. He helped me adjust to Gene's death by furthering my new career in the theatre, using his many contacts to make me look important when i really wasn't. Lewis was warm, loving and supportive - always cheering me on. He gave me strength and courage and confidence in myself. He knew my worth better than I. And he was so pleased for me - about my "new Life" as he called it. He helped me to fly, Lewis did. He held me up until I could fly on my own, and then he let me soar. His face would light up with joy for me when he saw how happy I was in my new world. I hope it does still as I feel him around me a lot when I am in the theatre. Such precious memories.
I considered Lewis a dear friend - one who could always make me laugh, lift my spirits and make me feel safe when the world was a very scary place. I knew that whatever I needed he would try and provide it simply because he loved me. How wonderful is that? Just to know that. That you are loved just for you. Priceless.
Louie, Louie, I hold you close in my heart always and forever. Thanks for knowing me and caring about me. I know you did this for a lot of people, but please understand wherever you are that I ALWAYS recognized and appreciated your goodness. I miss your presence terribly, but I have a sneaking suspicion that you and Gene are now enjoying your next adventure. If you can't be here, it is a happy thing for me to believe that you two are together again somewhere in time. Have fun, boys, and don't do anything I wouldn't do. Ha.
As love never dies, I can say -
Love you big time,
JeJeJeJeannie

STOP THE FRAUD

Nobody knows for sure how much money Lewis Kaplan ripped off, or how much Jean Himmelstein netted, but it is in the MILLIONS of dollars. For years, Jean Himmelstein bragged how she "beat Robert "Bobby" Freedman in Court". That is true, but in several other cases Jean was forced to pay back those who were ripped off. Ryan Ogulnick, partner of Lee Benchay, said he got "about 50cents on the dollar". Another victim is the respected Steven Gilfenbain, owner of STEVECO, known as the Grapeman, who is a prominent Beverly Hills businessman and philanthropist. Steve sued, and got back some of his money.
Other victims of this fraud include Lee Benchay, now deceased, Ryan Ogulnick, Sam Schatz, Andy Cross, Robert Bowen and Stephan Cusic, Jeremy Oaulnick, Dmeu Weingarten, Kenny Peteraon, Craig Ogulnick, Robert Bowen, Jung Woo and and Brian Pinbtt.
