Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was actually an employee of this business and its ran by an inexperienced, immature pretentious jerk named Chris Lundeburg. He never keeps phones in stock, he takes MONTHS to give people refunds, and he opened kiosks in places that have absolutely NO reception.

Most people who get service from the either cancel it or go through multiple phones before they just deal with the crappy service. On top of this, he closed the kiosk I worked at with absolutely no warning and told everyone else who worked in the company, except me, that I was going to lose my job! Even the guy I was dating knew, because he was friends with the loudmouth gossip queen that runs the Carbondale, IL kiosk.

I am furious with this company. I turned down a really great high paying job to help them, but since their so disorganized and full of themselves their business is crumbling. I refused to sell a product that did not work. Here is the email he sent me, to tell me I lost my job. Not only did I lose employment, to add insult to injury, he completely degraded me:

Kati,

Let me finally address all of our concerns here:

The Marion Booth is closed as of today. We are not opening it again. Kirk and I TALKED, yes TALKED about shutting it down in the future because of the sales, but Spencer took the liberty of reading in between the lines and didn't show up for work today. He did manage to fire off an email about 14 minutes before the booth was to be open.... so that's cool. I wish him all the best at the Cracker Barrel. Your last day will be today.. as with him.

I am happy that you are looking for another job. For a number of different reasons. I hope it works out well with Alltel and the other job in Chicago.

I am sure everyone is hurt and upset and mad, etc.. etc.. et... but for the first time in 3 years I am too. Upset that the booth has taken such a dive. Upset that we constantly hire people that could give a crap whether or not they are sitting at the booth or not. Upset that you had such an AWESOME interview, and then took such a dive. Honestly I don't want employees texting me at 11pm telling me their are dunk or hearing that one employee asked another to sleep with them at the bar. These are all things I could care LESS about... but it seems to always happen, time and time again.... I suppose this would fall on me. I should have double checked references and had a stronger interview process. I have learned my lesson for the future.

This is why Kirk and I have decided to downsize to only Brian and Stephanie. The two people that have always done the right thing. Always put forth an effort and ALWAYS made more money then every single person... combined, in some months.

The fact of the matter is you have nothing to loose. You are a kid with a job. I understand that. You both should understand that Kirk and I are not at that point anymore. This is our lives... not just some joke, or some stupid thing that we try and do on the side.

You walked out the other day. To help your dad... which I TOTALLY understand and would have done the exact same thing.... but then I told Deebo about it and he said "Really... she told me her dad lived in Japan".... Bottom line is that it affects my bottom line when people leave or people don't show up... but all of that can be solved because I don't have to pay you while you are not there. I do have to pay you while you ARE there... doing nothing.

I do wish you the very best and I hope that you are so successful with finding a new job. I can't say that I would give either of you a very good reference, so I wouldn't ask... You may ask Kirk, if you choose to. We have dropped ADP as of now, so your final checks will be mailed to your houses. If you would like me to mail them elsewhere, please inform me before I mail them out on the 25th.

Thanks,

Chris L.

Seriously, if they're going to treat their employees like this, how do you think they'll treat you? I'm talking to the Department of Labor. They even threatened to not pay my last check in a later email.

I was so excited when T-Mobile came to southern Illinois! I was finally able to get my sidekick! I don't know anything about the owners, but the workers in the carbondale booth have always been super nice! I tried going to the Marion location a couple times to pay bills, but the guy and girl that worked there were usually pretty rude, so I wouldn't recommend that particular location. That's the only suggestion I would make that's sort of negative. I just go to carbondale now whenever I need to pay my bill or anything. The service is always super fast and they really know their stuff!

I have been a Jibber Jabber customer since they sold Alltel phones. I used to go into the Murphysboro store when it was still opened, and the owners were always the ones working there. They were always helpful when I needed phones for my family, and even after we started service they were always willing to answer questions or help fix our phone problems. That store isn't open anymore, and Jibber Jabber now sells T Mobile. My family switched phone companies just because we like doing business with Jibber Jabber. We go to the Carbondale store in the mall now, but we still get the same great service. Never had a bad experience, which is unusual w/ cell phone companies. I have recommended Jibber Jabber to my friends and family, and would recommend them to anybody who wants good phones and service. Mike

Kati, I'd like say I am disappointed by your continued slander of the company I make my living working for, but that would imply that your unfounded tirade surprises me. Instead, I just feel disgust, and pity for your future potential employers who don't do thorough background and reference checks. Let me begin my rebuttal by saying you are the most unprofessional person I have ever had to work with in the decade I have been working with the public. You were a disaster from the beginning. I had the task of trying to train you, and after your second day I was asking Jibber Jabber's manager to rethink his decision to hire you. You refused to learn our computer systems, refused to study our plans and phones, and did not even bother to watch as I interacted with customers. Your excuse for this behavior was that you had sold cell phones before, and you knew what you were doing. You instead opted to spend your hours with me saying how ugly strangers who passed the booth were and playing on Yahoo Answers for hours. Unfortunately, the owners of Jibber Jabber that you are so adamantly quick to trash talk like you were still in high school are too nice for their own good, and felt that you would turn it around and that you had potential. Things did not improve. You were hired about a week before Christmas. On Christmas night, around 10 p.m., you sent a text to another employee and I, asking us to come to your sister's apartment to get drunk with you. We both declined, for obvious reasons, but you seemed to still be able to have a good time, seeing as you called in sick the next day. After one week of employment. How very classy and professional. And still, the guys voiced their faith in you. The unprofessionalism doesn't end there. You had the audacity to ask me how much my paychecks were! 4:55 PM Kati: can i ask you something 4:58 PM me: sorry, was w/ someone what's up? 5:00 PM Kati: have you ever had a check over 1k? 5:01 PM me: i don't know i have a trust fund, so I just auto debit my paycheck to charity Kati: charity?? me: yeah You are so professionally inept, you refused to see that your question was inappropriate, and none of your business, and even went further with your questioning! 5:24 PM Kati: how did you get a trust fund? where is my trust fund? me: it's an inheritance 5:25 PM Kati: lucky i was just wondering because ive been doing really well on commissions 6:05 PM Kati: if you dont mind me asking, how did your predecessors earn you a trust fund? were they like super secret spies or something awesome? 6:06 PM me: hard work 6:07 PM Kati: thats so awesome so you dont know how much you make? Unbelievable! You still refused to take the hint and continued questioning me and the other employees about my finances! But your unprofessionalism didn't stop there! Here's an email you sent to all Jibber Jabber employees: Hey! I'm going back up to Chicago on March 21-23 because I'm going to be on another show! I need to know if anyone wants these hours: Sunday, March 22- Marion Mall- 12a-5:30p Monday, March 23- Marion Mall- 10a-3:30p Also, Kirk I need to know if we can switch shifts on the 24th. The episode of Oprah I'm on with air Mar 23 at 4pm (while I'm at the other show). Autographs by request. -Kati Notice the email starts out with going back up to Chicago. Yep, barely three months into your employment, and you were already switching shifts on short notice so you could go play with your friends at the Jerry Springer and Oprah tapings. You complained openly of the terrible management and under staffing of this company, but you failed to understand that we WERE fully staffed, but your incompetence and unwillingness to work your assigned shifts put ALL the rest of us in a bind to make up for your laziness. You actually had the audacity to ask me in a chat what I do to kill time at work: 6:09 PM Kati: what do u do to kill time 6:10 PM me: call customers, windex, talk to the security and cleaning staff of the mall You seem to have thought that your job required showing up (sometimes) and taking phone orders from customers. God forbid you actually do an iota of work. Instead, you spent your time complaining to other employees who were busting their tails to keep this small business afloat in a time of such economic difficulties about how you had no sales and were bored! Your lack of professionalism didn't end at just work matters. You also liked to let us know about your charming sex life! Here's a little gem about an acquaintance of mine you had just started seeing: Kati: what about u? 1:52 PM omg! you know aaron baker lol im sorry not aaron andrew andrew baker 1:53 PM me: yep, i know andrew he's a nice guy Kati: we're dating Kati: this may be a bit TMI, but i was sexually frustrated very badly and i totally unraveled on him 1:58 PM he doesnt think anything bad about me tho, luckily :) If you couldn't be professional, at least you could have a little self respect. Kati, you were a giant waste of time and energy on this company. You craved attention so badly that you had no shame in your antics: 1:37 PM Kati: do you take cold meds w/ your crazy pills? i just took tylenol cold daytime with lexapro [...] it will make me hallucinate! Wow, that is stellar behavior for work. In closing, Kati McQuarrie, let me leave you with a few pieces of advice: 1.Grow up. Seriously. It is time. You are an adult, and I really don't want my tax dollars going towards paying for your welfare because you can't function in society enough to keep a job. 2.Don't project your feelings of inadequacy on good people and good businesses. You called Chris Lundeberg, one of the owners of Jibber Jabber, an inexperienced, immature pretentious jerk. Hopefully this rebuttal will open your eyes, and the eyes of anyone who may read your rantings, and you will see that those words are actually a fair and accurate description of you. 3.Remember that things posted on the internet last forever. So for every one of these rants you want to post to public forums, know that I, my co-workers, and the many satisfied customers of Jibber Jabber will always be there to shed light on your poor work ethics as you feebly attempt to sabotage our business. And we have email after email, Google chats after Google chats of damning evidence against you to back us up. Good luck to you, Kati. I have a feeling you are going to need a lot of luck in any future endeavor you attempt. Sincerely, Stephanie Bury Jibber Jabber Sales Consultant

Kati, Kati, Kati. As a disgruntled employee, I feel it necessary to allow you to vent. I do however feel necessary to provide the truth as well. You were fired because you were a very poor performing employee. Mainly because you were off your medication, I suppose. The Marion Kiosk had phones. You didn't know how to sell them. Your churn rate was 9% when everyone else was 2%. You had the highest percentage of returns and your Voice of the Customer (How well customers liked you) was 69%. Thats terrible. I am sorry that you fell off the crazy train a while back. Best of luck with your future endeavors and I seriously hope you are able to keep a job down. I would HATE to have to keep paying your unemployment for the next year. That kills me to see. Below are a list of emails and chats that you have so eloquently written. Always, Mr Christopher David Lundeberg Here is where you quit... and lied. 11:22 AM Kati: My dad is getting worse. he was taken to hospital today in seering pain and now hes shaking uncontrolably.
