Jiffy Lube Store #1010 Deceptive representation of service and over-charging Portland Oregon
Went to a Jiffy Lube store for an oil change. Floor attendant told me they did not carry the oil filter which fit my car, to go get one myself and return for an oil change.
I went to an auto supply store, bought the right filter for $20 and later returned to the Jiffy Lube store to get oil. Midway through the service I was informed the price would be $84 (the price of which includes and oil filter) and would give me $2 credit on the $20 filter I had brought to them.
I objected to the representation and to the negligible credit, given my cost in time and money and they refused to discuss or release the vehicletheir terms were met. I continued to contact the company with no complete or satisfactory reply.
This is a small matter, but if multiplied in 100 cases or to their national network, it would add up to a lot of money and very poor customer service. I will not patronize them again and would urge others to avoid their "services".
