I went to have my car serviced at Jiffy Lube, they reported to me that I needed a new battery,  so I bought a very expensive battery.  While they were installing my battery, I heard all the alarms and all the bells and whistles go off in my van, but figured they knew what they were doing.  I paid for everything and was told they were bringing my van around. Ten minutes later I assumed they had taken my van for a joy ride and poked my head out of the garage to see my van with its hood up just outside the shop. The mechanics were apologizing profusely and told me that as they were pulling my van out, the alternator light came on but it was fine before two they couldn't figur out what happened. I actually drove around the lock then went back to figure out why. They told me they were trying to get permission from the manager to get me an alternator. I went for a long walk while they figured things out. An hour latre I was told it wasn't the alternator but a fuse but because of the late hour I would have to come back. I live 40 miles away and told them I wasn't making a special trip but would be down on Sunday and the assistant manager said he would Come in.

After I left, I realized that they got the light off my dashboard but my radio didn't work. I called the assistant manager and he assured me he would fix it when I came back. I had filledup my gas tank before I went to jiffy lube that day and hadn't needEd gas until I went back on Sunday. When I got to the gas station, I realized that when jiffy lube blew my fuse something happened to the gas tank latch and I couldn't open my tank.  When I got to the shop, they had ordered the wrong fuse, and the one they got was too long to fit in the box so they had to take the cover off, but they did get the radio to work and and the light rot turn off. But they never could get the latch to open, so the rigged up some pulley thing that I have to pull when I open my back latch. It's so ridiculous. Now they are claiming they didn't have anything to do with the latch, it's just bad timing, but I don't believe that for a minute. No one should take their vehicle in for a service and have it come out of the shop worse than when they brought it in.
