Complaint Review: Jim And Linda Karns - Hilltop Shih Zus - Wellsville New York

This is in response to the negative comments I read regarding Jim and Linda karns. I recently purchased a "blue" female shih-tzu and had her flown to my state (Colorado) and can say she is everything I expected. She is all blue, very healthy, and a joy to be around. Linda and Jim Karns were very helpful and kind during the entire process,and I couldn't be happier with my cute little blue shihtzu. Thankyou, Sharon

Message to Tonya The information posted by Tonya Ramirez at WeLoveShihTzus is totally false and libel. I will take on her comments one by one and show how Tonya has falsely accused me with her vicious accusations. 1. Remington is a Blue and produced a beautiful Silver/Blue female for you when bred to your female Perri. Tonya has not given the black puppies a chance as they may change when their undercoats come in. Blues are born Gold, Silver & Black; and it's all in the pigment. One litter at two days old does not always determine a blue. 2. Altered pictures: I have many pictures of Remington or Harley his name when I owned him. All showing his actual eye and coat color. My pictures will show that Remington is exactly the same dog shown on my web site as on Tonya's. I knew immediately that I had been totally ripped off: This is Tonya's email and her very own words to us regarding Remington on Oct 15th 2007. He is a very nice boy and I am already attached to him. Everyone who sees him loves him! I will keep you posted on him. 4. I am now out $2000 that I paid for a (stupid black dog): Tonya, any reputable breeder would be repulsed by this statement. NOTE: Tonya contacted us to buy Remington/Harley, His Sire and Dam are very well bred quality Shih Tzus. I also have the full sister to Remington/Harley from the same litter. She is also a Blue. Tonya did not pay anywhere near the $2,000 she states, (This is another one of her fabricated Lie's). I considered Tonya a friend or at least she came across that way to me during our Sept & Oct 2007 phone conversations. I sold Remington to Tonya at a very reasonable price. I also sold this dog in good faith and I was never given a chance to discuss this with her on the phone as she hung up on me (I thought that this was very rude of her) and Tonya would not return my call. All of her accusations are totally unfounded and untrue. 5. Tonya is now asking a total of $5,350 for Remington's first litter. Tonya, not bad considering that you now think Remington is a Stupid Black dog. In Conclusion: Tonya, in your very own words you make the following statement on your web site: (Meet my tiny Sir Remington Steel Blue! He is a solid true Blue. We are looking forward to his puppies later this year). One, you are either falsely advertising Remington and misleading your customers. Or Two you are falsely accusing me. Remington has the gene to produce a very beautiful Blue girl and three beautiful blacks that may change. Remington has the Blue gene to produce the Blue girl, You know it, I know it and now the whole world knows it. Tonya, Remington is a True Blue. Very depicible in person and from a picture. You know that he is a Blue too. You even had him advertised on your website as a True Blue both on your papa's page and on your planned litters page. Now that you bred him to just one of your females that quite frankly looks blue factored, and did indeed get one silver blue female girl, one dark blue girl, 2 dark blue boys. What are you complaining about. Smurf is dark blue. These pups hadn't even had a chance to develop their eye color yet. They are too young. For a professional Breeder, you should know these things. And by the way, you did not call Linda to complain after receiving Remington, you emailed her stating that you were disappointed w/the litter. You expected them all to be silver blues and wanted to sell them for $2500.00 which may have been worth it on Remington's part because he has a Champion Pedigree. Furthermore, you bought Remington for $950.00 not $2000.00. Linda wanted to keep him but you called her and bothered her so stating that you wanted him so badly, that is the only reason she sold him too you, a so called friend. Your website states one to many dergotory statements about other breeders as well. That is vandictive and cruel.

Oh Tonya, I thought you loves Shih Tzu's As it happens a solid black shih tzu male or female are in demand. They are beautiful, elegant, and I just can't say enough. But for you to say that they are stupid is completely demeening of the breed. Especially considering that there are so many Solid Black Shih Champions Am/Can Int.
