Jim Walter Homes ripoff 15 months house still not done, lies, lies and more lies Tampa Florida
We have also been lied to time and time again, we were hit by all three hurrcanes of 2004, we lost our home and much of our belongings in it.
We signed our contract with Jim Walter Homes in October of 2004,it took until March to get the permits
They poured the footer in May, I had one man build my home he finished the framing in July,
Installed rough plumbing in August,installed duct work in September also put shingles on but ,did not install ridge cap
Installed rough electric ,painted outside, in October. the tubs are now green from water standing in them since August. right now all I have is a shell house, not even close to 90%
The only thing that has passed inspection is the footer, roof due to letter from roofing company stating that it was dried in.
This house has failed inspection 22 times, and when they do show up to fix it they do one thing and half the time thats not even fixed.
I have over four pages of dates,names,conversation and everything in between.there is so much wrong with my home. I can't even begin to write it all down.
I have found no one in this company that can tell the truth. It seems the only way you get anything done is if you keep calling Jim Walter homes.
I also no of four other homes that are being done the same way.I feel very sorry for anyone who has to deal with Jim Walter homes, there is no reason that any one should have to go through this to build a home.
