QUINCY -- A Chicago man was arrested Tuesday on a charge of financial exploitation of an elderly person after police allege he misused thousands of dollars from a resident of the Illinois Veterans Home. John P. Cleary, 55, was arrested by the Chicago Police Department and is being held in the Cook County Jail awaiting extradition to Adams County.
The Quincy Police Department said officials with the Illinois Veterans Home contacted officers Oct. 5 after a resident believed his power of attorney was misusing funds. During the investigation of the resident's bank records, officers reportedly found several thousand dollars were possibly misused. Also assisting was the Illinois Veterans Home and the state guardian office.

John Cleary has a reputation of committing FRAUD dating back 10-20 years. On top of that his wife divorced him for cheating. He somehow got out of paying all his bail and my uncle will never get all his money back, at least I doubt he will. John Cleary is a BAD man!
