At the time this original estimate was given it was done on the pretense that the roof deck was plywood. Upon discovering the roof deck was actually cedar shake shingles I had to inform this homeowner that I could not do the job for the original quoted price because of the additional labor and material needed to rip the cedar shake shingles off and put all new plywood on. I didn't at any time take a deposit from this homeowner. The contract she had was a contract for a plywood roof deck and since that was not the case I dont concider it as being a breech of contract. Please note that I have been in this business for 19 years with an impecable reputation.
