Anyone should be wary of this organization. They use unscrupulous tactics to recruit new agents to a large IMO.

They charge unsuspecting agents $20 a month for some sort of "training", saying that they are independent, yet are in no way independent.

I checked into this, and spoke to a few other agents who are part of their so called association. If you ask them where to get a good agent contract from they will send you to Health Choice One in Colorado. They don't recommed anyone else, so it seems that this is the recruiting arm of Health Choice One, an IMO out of Colorado.

Its a shame they put themselves out there an an independent association, after research it seems they are far from independent - if they really were independent then why are they so in bed with Health Choice One?

Well, it was only a matter of time before anonymous reports were filed. As an association we currently have more than 20 affiliates. We have affiliates for leads, CRM's, errors and omissions, web design, etc...anything agents use so we can offer them a discount or make sure they get the best deals possible. I guess since we also drive members to our E&O affiliate that means we're not independent and we're just a marketing arm for them? The truth is there are a lot of disreputable agencies and GAs our there. They attempt to place agents on below street level contracts, advise they sell uncompetitive products and will not release agents upon request. This is when most agents come to find that unless a release is sign they are "trapped" in their contracts. Health Choice One does not trap their agents in contracts and honors requests for a release. Before of that we recommend them. We also get around 10 requests per week from other agencies who wants us to drive traffic to them. However, we have requirements most simply do not meet. Of course, it's not a great conversation at the end when we tell them that since they don't offer the best deal we cannot recommend their agency....hence you see what's most likely a disgruntled agency owner who made that post. We're not only not a "fake" association - we're as real as it gets. We conduct 2 live webinars a day plus a country-wide morning chat. If anyone wants to see the training topics just go to out site and click on the calendar. We also put on free live training. We're in Atlanta on the 22nd of this month conducting a 6 hour free lunch and learn training workshop. If anyone reading this wants to tour the member's site to see exactly what we offer just contact me at the number on the site. I'll be more than happy to show anyone exactly what we offer.
