Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Peggy was the one who first signed up my daughter. She seemed real authoritive. They kept calling me over and over and over. The telephone number she called from was from San Francisco, then she had a private number. Peggy is some old washed out hag. She claims she was an actress and model, but she's too ugly to have been a model. We were having financial difficulty and she said it was the only time they were doing a talent search. I later found out that was not true. They keep going to the same places over and over again and rotating. Peggy said she thought my daughter could make it in the industry.

We called back within the 3 days and Natasha the Russian lady said we could not have our money back. She was horrible and rude. So we sent a letter and they refused to sign for it. We kept trying to call and no one would answer.

What else could we do? We had to go to class. So my daughter went and my daughter is 16 and pretty intelligent. She said it was a joke. They do not teach you how to be a model or actress. They claim they can help you with confidence. Sorry, folks. We weren't born yesterday. My daughter has all the confidence and talent. She went through the whole program and we never got a contact with some agents that they claim were in the audience. They said she was good enough to compete in ipop. Yeah, all we needed to do was shell out several more thousands of dollars. ipop is in collusion with them. ipop gets a fee for sending out their secretaries to pose as agents. This is bull.

We went to several agents and got signed, but it had nothing to do with JRP. In fact JRP tells you not to say you got training from them. Again, their headshots are a joke. No agent in their right mind would use those pictures. The agent had some choice words about JRP.

JRP and Natasha will rip you off! They created a nightmare! Big waste of time and money and no my daughter did not enjoy it. All the other people in class were Hispanic and they seem to prey on Hispanics who don't even speak english! I don't think the parents know what they are signing.

John Robert Powers is a scam. They charge you from 995 to 10,000 depending on the location in the US and overseas. They also charge a very large amount for pictures that are just going to be thrown out if you sign to a real agent in Los Angeles or NYC who are going to make you take brand new real industry pictures. Most of the time, the agent is going to ask for normal polaroids of your child anyways to see if they would like to meet them. They also charge you a very large amount of money to do a demo reel which is not needed as well. You can just take a videotape of your child if asked for that you can shoot by youself. Also Ipop is extremely expensive and you are overcharged and I would not recommend it. Stay away from John Robert Powers wherever you are!
