Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
John brings his kit cars to my company to package and ship for him when he sells them. He will often bring several items with one item to follow meaning we store it for a week or 2. Then the remaining item shows up and we can finish the job. Basicly a 1/2 day job lasts a week or 2 then in 30 days its time for him to pay us for our services by the time I track him down and get him on the phone it's 60+ days for payment.

The last time I called John to ask to get payment on 3 invoices that he owed us he blew up and started calling me names and said he will not pay us. So he did finally send a check 90 days later only to cancell the check just to piss us off and by the way it worked. I wonder if everyone he does business with gets treated like this.

So if your a vendor please be aware and maybe you should be COD to make sure you get paid. And if your a CUSTOMER please make sure you shipment does not get held up in shipment due to his bad behavior to his vendors.

Thank You

Roger

"Roger" is Roger Beauchamp of Beau's Crates in Tempe AZ.

In fairness to Roger, I was late paying the invoices he references. However, the reason was he overcharged me and I was remiss in following up on the overcharges.

I used to order three different size crates from him, depending on exactly what I was shipping. However, the charges varied considerable from one order to the next, even for the same size crate. I finally resolved the issue by sending him purchase orders that detailed the exact size and cost of every crate ordered.

Incidentally, it was at Roger's suggestion that I delivered the parts to his facility for crating. This saved him the cost of dispatching a truck to do the crating at my facility.

However, on the invoices in question, either I never sent a PO or he lost it. So, he just charged whatever he wanted to charge, and you can imagine the price wasn't LESS than what I customarily paid.

When he called me about it, I told him politely I had been meaning to follow up with my account rep about the overcharge. Roger was a huge freaking jerk and insisted that he charged me exactly the amount of the PO. Well, there never was a PO and in spite of unsuccessfully tearing his files apart to try prove me wrong, he insisted the charge was correct.

I called back the next day and spoke to my account rep to work it out. I mailed a check, and the following day started getting calls from a collections agency!

Lessons to me (and to any prospective customer of Beau's Crates):

1. Know EXACTLY what you are going to be charged and EXACTLY the service you will receive before doing business with Beau's Crates. This is not a company you can do business with on a handshake.

2. Poor customer service and a bad attitude are generally an indication you are going to wind up dissatisfied.

3. Spend a little extra and use a professional crating company like Express Packaging and Crating in Phoenix: http://www.expresspackandcrate.com/, or Crating Technologies:cratingtechnology.com?. Much better than Two Guys and an Air Nailer (and a few other guys who don't speak English).
