After I threatened to picket their store and call the news media to the picket line and pass out flyers, Johnson's refunded my money for the labor and material $3,600. I've cancelled my Better Business Bureau complaint.

Here's the complaint I filed online with the Better Business Bureau this morning. Also forgot it's MLK day so I can't mail the letter to the manufacturer's rep tomorrow. Better Business Bureau Online Complaint System The following complaint was submitted on 1/15/2001 9:11:22 AM: CUSTOMER INFORMATION: Ms. Anne Kamadulski COMPANY OR ORGANIZATION INFORMATION: Johnson's Floor Covering 8110 Collinsville Road Collinsville, IL United States 62234 (618)345-5696 COMPLAINT INFORMATION: Complaint #: 200575 Complaint Type: Company (other than automobile) Date Received: 1/15/2001 Primary Complaint Classification: Service Issues Secondary Complaint Classification: Guarantee or Warranty Issues Complaint: November 2000, Johnson's Floor Covering sold me laminate flooring and arranged for Pro Flooring to install in my house. Pro charged $1,255 for labor and ruined $1,607 of materials by improper installation. Plus I spent about $275 to have my house re-keyed, replace garage door opener, brand new drill and brand new 20' measuring tape. And I have paid for an additional $786 of material that is still sitting at Johnson's waiting to be installed. So far I have spent $3,923 for labor, material and replacing items. After repeated calls to Johnson's and Pro and an inspection by a Shaw Industries representative (manufacturer's rep), neither Johnson's nor Pro have replaced my floor. In addition to the labor, material, missing items I also have incurred cost for many phone calls, a $260 mediation fee, fees for certified mail postage $9, stationary $2, copies $3, and mileage $2.72, which Johnson's and Pro should also reimburse me for. Total aprox $280 So I want 1255 + 1607 + 275 + 786 + 280 = 4,203 I also need a complaint filed against Pro Flooring they are the second company that was involved. Their names and address are: Mark Landon and Ron Files DBA Pro Flooring 921 N. 38th Belleville, IL, 62221 Desired Settlement: Refund Settlement Explanation: I want all my money back $4,183 and to I'll go to another company.
