People who diss Juge Judy are like so gellus because she isrich sucessful smart and fameous. It is the best TV show ever and the most popular TV.Judge Judy wouldent be on as long as shes been if she wasent real and because most people think shes cool and intelegent. Ive been a loyal watcher of judgeJudy since way back in the 90s and love seeing her come down hard on deadbeats and creeps who brake the law. Judge Judy makes for justise and sees to it that the inosent party is paid. I dont no why people say the show is fake when the man announcing says THE CASES ARE REAL THE PEOPLE ARE REAL AND YOUR ENTERING JIDGE JUDYS COURTROOM. Why would they says that if it was faked. Hatters of judge Judy need to open there minds up and stop bein so pissy :) BELEIVE!!!!!

When reading the "complaint", the person just sounds like they LOST their case; plain and simple. If the case wasn't dealt with, WHY? Better question, why didn't you file THROUGH the courts if Judge Judy didn't give you satisfaction?
Here's the most interesting question; what hard evidence and WHY wouldn't a Judge (even if just a "TV Judge") allow you to present it? Lack of details.
I think this person is just bitter and butt-hurt that they lost their case. (call it a hunch)
She's entertaining, and the way ALL judges SHOULD be - SHARP - to the POINT - and dismissing any/all b.s. counter-claims that DO clutter up REAL courts docketts.!
Rock on Judy - (snicker) even if you are d**n-near 100 years old! You've got bigger ones than judges 1/2 your age with even less to lose!

I was recently on Judge Mathis and found the experience the same as yours. I just wish i would have read the Ripoff Report beforehand. It IS a television show and so it should be treated as such and not as an Arbitration. The 'judges' are actors first and not applying any particular law or reason to their judgements - the show and you agree to those terms. They are professional actors NOT professional 'judges'. It is misleading to the public and parties when they portray themselves as both actor and judge. There-fore, parties should have the right to appeal to circuit court - where they will have a 'real' judge whose only loyality is to see that justic is served.

I Have something to say about this outspoken opinionated woman Judgewho thinks she is right all the time,
on a recent episode this so called Judge was reviewing a case between a girlfriend and live in boyfriend this particular episode aired on my channel 13, directv Mar 16, 2012 as this case proceeded we find out that the boyfriend had a falling out with the girlfriend, she asked him to leave, to make long story short apparently he owed the electric company some money, this is where something goes wrong,
Judge Judy in an open televised airing, asks the man for his social security number over the television on a microphone, the man gave it to her over the television, I would think that this was a clear violation of the boyfriends privacy
not to mention, Judge Judy having the audacity to ask the man to verbally give her his SSN, by doing this, she opened him up to identity theft Judge Judy having this awesome intelligence that she claims know one else has but her
should have had enough sense, to ask for the gentlemen to write it down for her while the camera blurred the numbers, after all the girlfriends account numbers were blurred out,
If anyone else had done this same action they would be in Jail which is where she should be, and the boyfriend if he suffers financial setbacks because of Judge Judy actions due to her big mouth, She should be sued along with CBS,
As far as the man in the wrong that's another issue, he should pay something but don't ruin someones life on air, just because you have a television show and you feel that you have such a superior intellect that you are looking to stick
it to someone, their are some clear ethic violations going on with this Judge that should be investigated, and this kinda crap should be pulled from the airwaves! and there goes the Judge!

I love the way she goes after deadbeat scum and pathological liars. Which episode are you on so we can all watch it and see for ourselves if you even had a case.
You did not lose anything since you never had it to begin with plus you came out with an extra 500 bucks and an expense paid trip.
What kind of hard evidence? As everyone else pointed out to you. You had to agree to go on the show and allow her to arbitrate your case. Both parties have to agree to it. The other person probably agreed because they knew you did not really have a case anyway.

you would have known what to expect. It's basically an entertainment show.
OBODY made you sign the agreement with them and you're only unhappy because the outcome wasn't what you wanted.
Nex time, you'll know better......right?

Judge Judy TV show, technically removed my case from a Los Angeles Court House, contacted me and promised to Arbitrate my case on TV
They didn't remove your case from the court. They check the small claims filings and contact the litigants (plaintiff first) to offer to arbitrate in their forum in exchange for fees and your "10 minutes of fame" on TV. You had to agree to their arbitration, otherwise your case would have worked its way through small claims court.
When you want justice, you go to court. When you want something else, you submit to any of the "TV Courts" that are nothing more than arbitration forums.
