Jennifer; with 10 years in the NM Judicial System you may be a little prejudiced. You don't happen to clerk for one of those reported on do you?
None of the attorneys listed represented "Barry" thus the assumption that there is a dissatisfaction and a failure to understand is erroneous. There is nothing confusing. With an IQ over 2 times the State average in New Mexico, we know that "Barry" was quite capable of understanding and researching the various individuals involved.
Perhaps a history lesson on how Judge Teresa Baca received her judicial appointment would shed some light on her qualification. A further review of complaints filed with the Judicial Review Committee would also be an eye opener.
So the facts are 100% straight, there was no minor child involved in the referenced divorce proceeding, thus no Child Support as an issue. Who is slinging the mud? I would imagine there are a lot of low life parents who would simply walk away and not care to support their children. This case does not fit that mold.
Peter Johnstone failed to perform the Special Master duties assigned and proceeded to provide erroneous information (would quialif as perjury if under oath). Thsi was fully documented by licensed real estate and escrow agents in a different State where the sale of property was in play. Billing for actual work is to be compensated; there is no argument with that.
I agree, no reader should rely on "Bary's" opinion. They should however take note, do their own research and possibly enlist the assistance of Not for Profit Groups with no dog in the fight like the Advocacy Response Foundation to seek guidance from.
The only redeeming factor with Baca and Nash is that they were not appointed by Bill Richardson.
No slander, just a thumbnail of thousands of pages of documentation.

I have worked in the NM Judicial System for the last 10 years. The mudslinging "Barry" has enjoyed here is strictly that. Not everyone comes up happy in a court of law. Nor is the average citizen well-versed in the minutia of the law, so court proceedings and rulings can be confusing. That doesn't make your attorney or the presiding judge corrupt. Judge Theresa Baca is truly a dream judge - her decisions are fair based on the facts presented and she is not afraid to make a decision. Nor does she feel the need to throw around the weight of her power as a judge to make herself feel important. Judge Nan Nash until recently has worked in the family courts, and I can assume that "Barry" is dealing with some child support issues which he would rather not deal with. Having said that, Judge Nash is not the most knowledgeable civil court judge and it is worth rolling the dice in disqualifying her if she is assigned to your civil case. Peter Johnstone is an EXCELLENT attorney. I have used him as my personal attorney and have been involved in cases where he was appointed Special Master *at the request of the parties.* His counsel is invaluable. Because a Special Master bills for her/his time does not mean they are "bleeding" anyone. Mr. Frazier I do not know and cannot speak to his practice or reputation. But the others named are being unfairly slandered, and any potential litigants should definitely not rely on "Barry's" opinions posted here.
