ok i have left the company about a month ago and i ready all these reports and i laugh they wanted me to spend this much money. if you listen to the ads they tell you that 99.88 you will get pads and shoes/pads machine rotors and drums/rotors pack the bearing adjust the brake system and (here is the key) INSPECT YOUR BRAKE SYSTEM FOR ANY OTHER PROBLEMS. in most cases that is 99.88 an elantra is not a popular car it is a throw away car. you can be a mechanic all day long but until you are a brake technician then dont try to out guess the experts that is all they do is brakes and yes we are trained and trained and trained more about brakes. yes some stores are better than others and like any auto repair business you do have some people that will rip you off. that goes to the person that you are dealing with not the company. i was a store manager and if you did not need the repair then i would not tell you that you needed it. brake fluid should be flushed every 2 years at least but with what we drive in i suggest 12 months or 12,000 miles. i was a shop manager. a center manager and a shop foreman for the company. i left to get out of the auto business i wanted my hobby back and did not want to do that for a living any more. just brakes keeps about 20k to 30k worth of inventory but not for all cars some they do not see enough or the parts cost more to stock and they do put the money back into traing the people

Again the other two rebuttals don't think....take the air from between your earss. By the way every real auto shop take care of their customer. I bled brakes whenever the pedal had air after test driving a car after a brake job.As far the car I drive it's more reliable than the American crap on the road.

I do all my own brakes, and I have NEVER had to bleed a system after a normal brake job. Some certified mechanic you are! The proof is in the pudding, if you were a mechanic, you would've never bought that piece of crap in the first place! Plus, why didn't you do the brakes yourself?? It only takes an hour if that, depending how busy the parts place is for turning the rotors.

and anyone passing a garage is an expert on auto repair. First, if you are a "certified mechanic", why did you take your car to another mech for a simple brake repair? Second, who told you the brakes must be bled when the brakes are being done? They only have to be bled if the system has been opened. Third, "most cars" usually does NOT include imports from any country. While I agree JUST BRAKES, BRAKE DEPOT, VALUE BRAKES, BRAKELAND, and whoever else they want to be this year are all a bunch of shysters, you admit you went there for the make-believe cheap price. Learn to stop being so cheap and your car will last longer and be safer.
