Complaint Review: Ken Brickman - Los Angeles California

“Ken” has stolen my money and I’m not the only one. Ken has been doing this for years now and seems to have gotten away with it so far. I am sick and tired of deadbeats that skate through life stealing hard working people’s money, so I am taking a stand on this. I would like to start a list of victims and get the DA to throw his a*s in jail.

My story:

I found “Ken’s” ad on a Craigslist page for Los Angeles. I needed a custom cash counter and a few custom glass tables made. Ken’s quotes were half the price of other places I found and he required a 50% down payment, which in my case amounted to $6270. He said the goods would be delivered in 4 weeks, after being made in Vietnam and shipped to the US. After 3 weeks passed I called him to see when he would be dropping the items off and he assured me they would be delivered in a week on time. I called him the day before the scheduled delivery but he did not pick up. I began to worry as my store needed to open soon; he was supposed to provide half of the furniture for it. I kept calling and received no response for 3 days, when he ‘informed’ me that the items were in customs and were being held there for inspection. He continued to assure me the items would still be delivered, but my store had to remain closed until then. Another week passed and he came up with this story that customs confiscated the furniture and he got fines of $20,000 for smuggling rosewood into the country. By this time I was frustrated, but not deterred. I had a friend working for customs and I told him I could have him work on it. I just needed the container number but he kept refusing to it give me, which told me that I might have caught him in a lie. He kept this charade going for a month and half. We finally had no choice but to ask for our money back. He said he would be grant us a refund that same day. Of course, he never showed up. He kept saying he would give us a refund for another 2 weeks but never delivered. 

At the end of all of this we had to buy the items we needed for premium prices since we had to get everything done quickly. Our store had to remain closed for about 3 months was almost put out of business.  We had to pay for rent on a closed store as well as employees. Dealing with Ken cost us over $100,000 in losses.

After doing some research into him, we discovered that he has done this to many others since 2008. You are not the only one! Help me put Ken in prison.

Ken Background Information

Ken is a Vietnamese American in his 40’s. He has a young son living with his baby mama in Palos Verde. His mother is Vietnamese and lives in the Bay Area. She has a tour company giving tours from the U.S. to Vietnam.  His father is American but we have no information on him.

Also if you have a last name he likes he will start to use it as his own.

He is known to be on Match.com and finding women on there to use for money and credit. He says he has no credit because he had to claim bankruptcy. But the truth is that he stole so much money and has judgments against him that he cannot have a bank solely in his name that is why he uses women to sign on bank accounts with him as well as cars and leases.
