I have been a loyal and faithful employee at the Housing Authority for over 18 years. Yesterday I was called into the office of the director, Ken Simmons who promptly SUSPENDED me for the rest of the week for violating the agency's rules by wearing womens clothes to work. I reminded him that I wear women's clothes because I am a WOMAN! He called me a liar and said that I had no business coming to work in a dress. He kept calling me "Sanford" when my real name is Nancy. It was obvious that either he was mistaking me for Sanford Riggs or he was really drunk. This isnt the first time that Simmons has shown up to work totally loaded on cheap booze and Im sure it wont be the last either. He took my keys and as he stood up to escort me out of his office, I noticed he was wearing an orange mini-skirt, fishnet stockings and red high heeled shoes. Why was I not surprised? After tossing me out of his office, I went directly to Ken's boss, Rudy Montiel's office to complain. I was stopped by none other than our own little clown security guard Scott Butler. I thought they had fired that little weasel MONTHS AGO - I guess not. Butler, all 4'8" of him, blocked my path and ordered me out of the building. I told him I was going to see Rudy and Scott told me it wouldn't do any good because Rudy was "out of the office" getting his bald head waxed for his meeting with the mayor. I was SO upset and embarassed - Scott then has the NERVE to call the the building security officers to help him toss out a 55 year old WOMAN ! When the officer shows up he looks at me and at Scott and says, "I recommend calling 911, I dont think we can take her down without the SWAT team." The officer then laughed and said, "Good luck Pink Panther, Im going to lunch" and walked away. Butler stood there shaking in a fit of rage with giant beads of sweat forming on his shaved head. I thought he was gong to have a stroke right then and there. I wasn't afraid he was going to shoot me or anything beacuse I knew Rudy had the good sense to take his bullets away from him about a year ago after the incident in MacArthur Park with a family of bunnys.
How in the world can HACLA let Simmons get away with this???? This is still AMERICA and we still have RIGHTS! I think I am going to sue.

The head of Los Angeles embattled housing authority stepped down Thursday, following a firestorm of controversy over spending practices on meals, travel and other activities.Ken Simmons, the interim president and chief executive of the agency, left in the wake of KCET-TVs SoCal Connected report on expensive restaurant tabs, and amid increasing scrutiny from City Controller Wendy Greuel, who has been auditing travel expenses.Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was in Asia but his office released a letter acknowledging Simmons departure. In it, the mayor said the reports of extravagant spending had dealt the agency a serious blow.Although I know that you are deeply committed to the housing authoritys priorities, it is clear that a decisive break with past policies and practices is necessary, he wrote. For this reason, I appreciate your decision to step down as interim president and CEO of [the housing authority] to allow new leadership.The departure comes nine months after Villaraigosas appointees at the housing authority fired Simmons predecessor, Rudy Montiel. Over the last six weeks, that same board agreed to provide Montiel with a departure package of nearly $1.2 million.Deputy Mayor Sarah Sheahan said the resignation was at the mayors request.In an email to the housing authoritys board, Simmons said that he never expected that, as the temporary top executive, he would be required to address so many issues relating to the past president and CEO.I believe that I have made significant improvements in the agency's relationships with these communities as well as our sister agencies. I look forward to continuing this work, he wrote. However, I did not realize that these many issues would dominate so much of my time and energy and believe I could best serve the agency in my former capacity.

Everything we said has been true. the housing authority is embarrassed and they should be. Montiel now being fired says it all. I wonder how much money was wasted on hiring attorneys to file this frivolous case. Did those Attorneys really thing we were scared? Hahaha! Did they really thing we would call them up and say "HI! HERE I AM AND HERE IS MY REAL NAME AND ALL MY INFO"? Hahahaha! Did they REALLY think that Ripoffrereport would really assist them in attempting to attack our first ammendment rights? Hahahahaha Whatever. Now that this case that was filed is now dismissed, it proves that it never went anywhere and never will. If the housing authority doesn't like their affairs being discussed online then that is tough titties. Their attempts will fall shorter than Scott Butler's height.

this is directed to Karl R. Lindegren, Esq. You are in cahoots with Kenny Boy ripping off the taxpayers. How much did HACLA pay you to file this frivolous lawsuit? The only reason Kenny had you do it is to try to scare away the people who know the truth! James Dye, Karl Lindegren and Kenny Simmons are ALL grifters.

Sir, you really need to get your priorities right and facts straight before you begin posting inflammatory and slanderous remarks against executives at the Los Angeles Housing Authority. By doing this, you are simply putting out bad information on the world-wide Internet for all to read.
Nothing you say is confirmed. If "Kinky" Ken Simmons likes to wear womens underwear, then that's his business. If he dresses in drag, his private life is of no concern to anyone, especially yours. I don't buy your story about him wearing the orange mini-skirt, fish net stocking and high heels at the work place. First of all, how would he get away with it without being noticed?
I believe there is more to the story than you are telling us. If you were suspended for allegedly wearing womens clothing, then there obviously exists a dress code for the violations for which you brought attention to yourself. By your own self-admission, you violated the department's dress code policy by showing up for work in womens clothing. What kind of reaction did you expect?
Obviously the executive staff at HACLA were forced to take some type of immediate administration action against you if you come to work in drag. Then you claim you are a female? Yet, as a female, you were still suspended? I don't get it. I fail to see the connection here with justifiable Administrative suspension. Yet, you were still suspended.
I support Mr. Simmons' decision to suspend you. And I further support the physical enforcement action taken you by Captain Scott Butler. Thank God HACLA security are always first on hand to keep the peace. If you show up to work in drag, thinking it's normal to behave in this manner, who knows what state of mind you're in?

KINKY KEN is a lot of things, Gay isn't one of them. Simmons is a hatchetman for Rudy and an all around p***k who likes to wear womens clothing under his suit. Being a cross dresser is NOT against the law. The man has personal issues that need to be addressed through prayer and a personal relationship with Jesus H Christ, our lord and savior. When the RAPTURE comes, I know Ken will be one of the first souls to float up to the kingdom of heaven. However he might be wearing a chiffon evening gown while doing it.
