I recently tried to return an cellular card. I was told that they are nonreturnable. she claimed there was a sign. I told her I did not see a sign. I wanted to talk to manager. The so called nasty manager was tall guy with smirk on his face. He told me it was there policy he could not do anything.

well I called back and the so called assistant mgr. I she would let me speak. she kept on interupting.

If you shop at kmart. They have gotten nasty. I won't be back. I just cancelled my internet service with them.

A complaint goes into the Attorney General's office consumer protection division and the Federal Trade Commission.

I will also be picketing their store. I will cost them customers. I will cost them a thousand customers.

I do not want to hear from kmart supporters. You probably work for stinky kmart and I could careless what you have to say.

if you want to whine about how great kmart is. Do your own report. I will not respond.

Kmart stinks kmart stinks!!!!!!!!!!

boycott crapmart

They are always nonrefundable

Prepaid cellular cards are always nonrefundable, everywhere, at every store. It even says so on the package. So your claim of rip off is irrelevant. Why is this policy the way it is? Because in the past, people would buy these cards, use the minutes, and then try to return the cards for a full refund. If you think about it, there's really no reason for anyone to *need* to return these cards in the first place. If you need cellular minutes, you buy the card, and use the minutes. Returning the card fits nowhere in the equation. It's not like it's possible to buy a defective card that needs to be exchanged for a different one.

I have never seen a returnable cellular card!

Nathan, This is standard policy of every retailer I have seen. I don't know of anyone that will take back a cellular card. Once activated, it cannot be resold, and it will expire. The provider will not refund the retailer's money, so why should the retailer refund yours just because you changed your mind? Was there something wrong with the card? If there was, they would surely exchange it, but refunds just don't happen with them, and this is just common sense. No ripoff here. Kmart did nothing wrong, you are just mad you didn't get your way. Get over it. Or get a regular cell where you get a bill in the mail, and you won't have to worry about this situation!

Not Kmarts fault

Nathan, While I sympathize with you and do not agree with someone being nasty to you, if that is Kmarts policy, than whether you saw the sign or not is irrelevant. The fact that you post this and don't want to hear from anyone supporting Kmart (I work for a financial company in NY, NOT Kmart by the way) is proof enough to me of your short fuse and defensive behavior that I'm sure you displayed in the store as well. Perhaps it is this behavior as to why the staff was short with you? Maybe you can try to sell the card on Ebay to re-coup at least part of your loss?
