I bought a promotion on the street near Grand Central Station. I was so excited becasue my roomate and I wear moving to New York and it would be fun to have a spa day. At first I hesitated becasue it sounded strange to me to buy somthing off the street but the guy was very insistent. I decided to do it becasue he would through in an extra promotional card for my friend.

So a few weeks later I decided to go and get my hair highlight and it said on the card that highlight were only and extra 85 dollars. So I went in and the guy had told me to request Auxiana, so I did. I gave my promotional card to the girl at the front desk and sat in the chair for the stylist to do my hair.

A few hours later I went to the front desk to pay for my hair( What thought would be 85 plus a 15 dollar charge) and I recieved a bill for 599 dollars. I was blown away!! I told the girl that I gave her a promo card for 85 dollars and she said "No you didn't" I said yes I did and then she said here it is and gave me a completely diferent card. This card did not have the 85 dollar hightlights on it. It was one for 20% off your total bill. Then her and the stylist proceeded to tell me that they were giving me a ddeal becasue the highlights were soposed to be 700 Dollars. I was still flustered so I just handed them the credit card and signed it. Which was a stupid thing to do.

The next day I called a family memeber and he told me I got ripped off and that I should file a report. I called back the salon and asked to talk to the manager and one of the girls said he would be back on the faollowing monday, then she put the stylist on the phone.

I expressed my feelings to here that I was very agitated with the way they were doing busisness and I had felt ripped of. She just yelled and me and said the manager was on vacation and would not be back for two weeks. I then called back that following monday and talk to the manager for two minutes, he would not listen to a word I said and then put the stylist on the phone again.

Needless to say nothing got accomplished and I am out of six hundres dollars plus sixty for that worthless peice of promotion paper. So if you do go to this horrible place which I sugest you should not, your should not gives them payment. Let them deal with an attorney to make you pay.

Hi I know you had a coupon that you bought off the street, you yourself said you thought it might be shady. Why didnt you talk with the stylist about the validity of the coupon when you even questioned it yourself?Sounds like you sould be complaining about the street vendor, not the salon. Also, when you go to the grocery store, dont you try to figure out how much your total bill is before you go to the checkout.Or if you want to buy a dress, wouldnt you ask for a price on it if you did not see one? I just could not imagine going into a upscale salon and not asking how much the specific service is. There are thousands of different highlighting techniques, lowlights and long hair is extra, didnt you think about asking how much it the total bill would be? In the future ask for a quote up front before getting a service.
