La Dolce Vita bullies customers into paying $350 for highlights New York
I went to La Dolce Vita to 'redeem' the promotion I had pruchased on the street around Union Square on 27th May 2004. The person who sold it to me told me that I would get a haircut, manicure, massage, etc. in one visit as a special promotion for $30. When I finally got there, Sep 24th, I was pressured into a 'consultation' where the hair dresser, Abel, told me what my hair should look like and that I should color it. I told him I did not want my hair colored and that I wanted just to redeem my promotion for a hair cut. He then said, "oh! I just want to equalize it". He never mentioned that this 'equalization' would cost $350 extra.
THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS - when I was thinking of spending $30. I thought this was included in the promotion until at the end, as I was walking out, I was stopped and presented with a bill for $350. Imagine my shock. After much discussion, further bullying and raised voices, I realized that I had no choice but to pay the bill.
NEVER ever go to this place. If someone tries to sell you this, spit in their face. I have learned my lesson.
