The motors were put in the boat and were fired up on Friday, June 27, 2014 following your procedures.  The oil and water temp were perfect.  Everything was running perfect.  Friday evening it went out for sea trial.  We ran the motor for 35 minutes at 2500 rpms.  The oil pressure was 70, water temp 150.  Then, ran at 3500 rpms oil and water pressure stayed same and ran it for 30 minutes.  We returned back to the dock. Saturday morning tightened (torked) all nuts and bolts and checked all fluids. Sunday: Ran boat for 1 hour at 3300 rpms, oil pressure 70 water temperature 150.  We arrived at our location, checked everything over again and oil and water temp stayed the same.  We left location 7 hours later to return from trip.  At 3300 rpms all gauges stayed the same.  10 minutes into ride home we lost rpms on starboard motor. 3300 rmps dropped to 1800 rpms.  We shut motor down.  We brought port motor down to 1200 rpms.  We tried to restart, unsuccessful.  We returned home on port motor 2200 rpms taking 3 hours. Monday: This morning mechanic found the following:   Head gasket between 6-7 showed a lot of oil and antifreeze.  #5 piston blew out spark plug and shattered.

This is how my summer began when I bought 454 Mercruiser engine my motor from Charlie at US Marine Engines.

He said “You have to return your engine for me to determine the true cause but I can tell you the number there a spark plug wire on the wrong cylinder breaking the piston. You will find one piston looks newer than the other 7 that's how we find out” He also said, “Would you like me to pick this engine up to repair it and I can give you more information. Check your other engine I send out how to check for correct tuning. I can send you another let me know what I can do.”

I didn’t understand what Charlie was saying.  Everything was running fine.  How could we have had a wrong wire on the wrong piston?  We had over three hours on these motors. What was it when he said correct tuning?  Everything was done according to specs.

Once again, Charlie said “I cannot determine why your engine failed until it is returned I just gave you areas to look at someone know they did something wrong or you would not have taken the engine apart do so voids your warranty. Go on line and see what cause just 1 piston to break. Only running 3 hours 1 broken piston crossed spark wire sound logical. Look at your pistons see if one looks wet and not have made combustion that would be where the wire came from. I can help you once the engine is returned until then it’s just guessing.”

There it is…….VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY….I should have stopped while I was there but I thought they have to be good. HUH!

I let Charlie know that I just spoke to the mechanic that I hired. He had been working on boats for the past 18 years, 12 months out of the year and is extremely qualified.  His theory is that if you cross any wires you would have 2 dead cylinders, no idol, or performance.  I am not a mechanic but I pay for the best. I don't want to ruin my whole summer and not be out on the water. So I decided instead of wasting my entire summer I would purchase another motor exactly like the the counter rotation motor one I have, manifold, oil pump.

Charlie was happy to hear that I am sure he was saying…SUCKER!!! He said, “Counter rotation is the one that 5 and 7 spark plug wires get crossed causing piston damage. Your mechanic will say anything to get out of his error. I have boat repair shops certified Mercruiser mechanic the older they are the more mistakes they make. He is not perfect did you give him permission to take your engine apart. Or did he just do so because he discovered his error. You don't have to pay for this if he crossed wires once I get the engine I can tell you or I cover your warranty.  You have to consider the most likely cause one broken piston and the other 7 perfect. I been doing marine engine for 40 years I know a crossed spark plug wire when I see the engine.”

So we order our new motor and its ready to be shipped out to me.  Finally I am going to be back on the water. WRONG!!!!

We were getting the motor ready to send back.  My mechanic was down at the boat and told me that on the port motor the freeze out plug is leaking antifreeze and the rear main seal is leaking oil.  How can this be the motor only has 5 ½ hours on it.

So I email Charlie again because he NEVER returns telephone calls.   Once again Charlie says, “Rear main seals cannot leak that's a oil pan leak installers blame the rear seal to replace the pan. I will need a picture of the water plug leaking I am sure there is not one your installer is missing the correct location. Water leaks and oil leaks go down to the bottom of the block and oil pan.

Sound like your installer has an intake manifold leak if this is the same one that crossed your spark plug wires you should not trust his work you need to have some one else look at your engine I do not pay for rear seal replacement because they cannot leak the main seal on the pan can leak.

I will need proof of the water plug leak video will do this is the only way I can stop a fraud claim.”

Did he say FRAUD??????

So I decide to look up US Marine Engine’s.

SHOCKED!!!!!!!

This guy Charlie has tried to blame everyone else for his own shady self.

I have received my third motor on Friday, August 1, 2014.  I am having a forensic mechanic take it apart to inspect and document every piece of that motor.  To check and see exactly what parts are being used.

I will post this letter on every possible website.  I will talk to SeaRay, Mercury, Mercruiser, OMC Drive Systems, Volvo Penta, Chervrolet, Bayliner, Ford, MasterCraft, Crusader and Chryster and any other vendor there products are being promoted by these crooks.  I will retain legal representation and sue them.

Lake Washington Boat is in bankruptcy

You should look at filing a Proof of Claim in the bankruptcy case of Michael and Rowena Crossan, owners of Lake Washington Boat, US Motors, US Engines and a host of other businesses.  Their case number is 15-16823 filed in the Seattle bankruptcy court.  Their businesses have now been included in their case, so both individual and company creditors can file claims.  Judging from the record in the case, they aren't being too cooperative.

Also, their case trustee is Kathryn Ellis and her phone number (if I'm allowed to put it on this site) is (((REDACTED)))
