Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I contacted Lakewood Home Furnishings to see if they wanted to buy some furniture that I was selling. On 28 June 2011, Kathleen Pearson (sp?) came over to see what I had, made an offer for everything, which I declined, then made a second offer for some smaller items, which I gladly accepted.

Kathleen suggested that if I hadn't sold my dining set by July 15, to give her a call and if she had sold some store inventory by that time, she would still consider buying the dining set. I called and scheduled a pickup for 20 July. I called the store because I wasn't certain of the date Kathy had said she'd be over. She never returned my call. I called the afternoon of July 20 to confirm our appointment. She never returned my call. Kathleen didnt keep her appointment and she didn't call. She claimed that she called my cellphone twice and there was no answer and no voicemail. This is false. There were no records of missed calls or incoming calls from Kathleen's cellphone or store number. I had some problems receiving other calls, so I took my phone to the T-Mobile store and talked to Tech Support. Ive been making calls on my phone and testing it to make sure it was receiving incoming calls and voicemails, and it seems to be in working order.

Kathleen scheduled another appointment for this evening. around 6:45. I called to tell her I'd be home in case she couldn't reach me by phone, and I called her at 7:25 when she didn't keep her appointment.

Lakewood Home Furnishings wasn't under any obligation to by my dinette set. I was willing to let it go and try to sell it another way. I dont understand why Kathleen would encourage me to call her a second time, then make appointments and not show. I took the table apart for moving and I spent two evenings waiting for her. This is a shoddy business practice.

I would have to say that only 5% of Mr. Millers complaint is true. I Kathleen Pierson from Lakewoood Home Furnishings did go to his home to look at and possibly purchase his furniture. I made a monitary offer, he accepted on some of the pieces that he was looking to sell. At that time he was paid cash and we took the items from his home. The kitchen table with 4 chairs and the chair with ottoman however we could not reach an agreement on price. I told him to try and get as much as he could even told him names of other places to call.

Mr. Miller called back took my offer we set another appointment. I always call before arrival, I did not get answer after calling 3 or 4 times. He called the next day with the excuse that his phone was not working (we have all used that excuse). He called the next day after that  to let me know he had sold the chair with ottoman but was still in possesion of table, desperate and moving in the next 48 hours.

I had allready been there and gave him 2nd chance, when he did not answer his phone. I have  to pay movers, gas and mileage. he was costing me more than the table was worth. I am the new owner of a small business trying to make a living and create jobs in the community. I could not meet his demands without pushing others aside.

After Mr. Miller called the previous owner of Lakewood Home Furnishings to complain, and wrote his not so accurate letter. You tell me. Who is the drama Queen?
