We own rental property in Caldwell, ID and in July 2008 we hired Lawrence & Associates in Boise to manage our rented property. One day prior to receiving their failed business email (August 21,2008) they deposited our tenants "first" rental check into their account. We had never established a working relationship with them other than signing a contract and turning over the keys. It is quite clear Lawrence & Associates were aware of their failing business and planned this theft prior to closing the doors. They also have a business in Colorado and Arizona.
Lawrence & Associates has our rental money and our keys. Their web site is down and their phone numbers have been disconnected along with their email. Anyone who illegally retains customer's deposits WILL perform other illegal acts.

Who else has had to file bankruptcy??? James Audubon Bjorn Borg Mark Twain Walt Disney Founder of GM Henry Ford and last but certainly not least Abe Lincoln In fact 3 Presidents in all and 1 vice President. These are just a few of the productive people that have had to file bankruptcy. Rachel Lawrence and Stacy McBain are two of the most ethical people I know. They have not profited and in fact have lost much because others did not pay them what was owed.

I know you have questions and have legitimate concerns. I know this is not fair to you and I apologize for any problems this has caused you. We simply did not get paid from 3 major clients of ours to the tune of over $130K. We just did not have the reserves to pay all creditors. There has been no theft, no wrong doing. Lawrence and Assoc. has filed for bankruptcy and all creditors have been notified. The bakruptcy trustee will need time, in order to collect the monies owed to Lawrence & Assoc., sell all assets and distribute those monies accordingly.
