In June of 2006 I rented furniture as well as a bedroom set from Lebakkens. I was paying 120 a month for the living room set and 170 for the bedroom set. In June of 2007 they took me to court saying that i wasnt paying them enough and they wanted to raise the price, first off the furniture was all purchased for Ashley's. It had double in price so they would make some money. When we went to court the judge stated that we where to pay 1,000 dollars by August 31st 2007 and the furniture would be ours we would no longer have to deal with the harrassing phone calls, visits to our home, as well as work. After paying 1,000 the Manager Mike wanted an extra 300 for intrest and money he was losing. It wouldnt be reported for money income to the company. After not agreeing to pay him money that didnt belong to him, he filed a writ of replevien with the court system. He had been trying to send the papers to our old address for the replevin so we wouldnt make the court date. He explained when i was talking to him, that was his plan the whole time. He stated we screwed him so he was screwing us. He never called never sent letters, and we didnt see any court papers till the day that the sheriff's department showed up to our home. They came and got all of the furniture and in the process broke 2 of my son's toys, knocked down the christmas tree and where steping on the ornaments, and put two holes in the wall, and let black marks over the living room walls. so after paying this company well over 6,000 dollars we have nothing to show for it. I work 2 jobs with a total of 80 hours a week, why do I have to give someone else money that doesnt belong to them. I would suggest highly never to get anything for any of there locations, there a scam and a big joke on top of that.
