Hello. I received a call from Mr Robert Taylor at ext 279 threatening "my livlyhood". He stated if I didn't pay $680.00 by 5:00 today 12/7/07 that he would file legal papers to have me put in jail.

He did not let me set up any payment arrangement or would not give me any other options. He wanted me to call all my family members and borrow money.

I called the number back for the physical address. The lady that answered the phone said there were 17 suites in that business and she could not give me which one I needed.

I have already delt with PayDay Loan Yes and asked them not to contact me anymore according to my FTC rights. How can I get these DC to stop calling me at work?

They are threatening to come to my job and my home.

This is a civil matter not criminal. They are NOT going to have you hauled off to jail. They don't have that authority. So tell them to go f*ck themselves next time they say that. You are protected under FDCPA/FCRA. Do not talk to them on the phone. Demand everything in writing. When you write back send the letter certified return receipt. In this letter demand proof of the debt and that they are legally entitled to collect it. NEVER admit that you owe anything and NEVER give out your personal banking or credit card information. For more help go to budhibbs.com and debtorboards.com. These two sites have a TON of information on how to deal with junk debt buyers.
