Legamatic Engineering S.r.l. Ripoff: Marketing consultant work finalized to introduce automatic & semi-automatic packaging equipment to U.S.A. market was not paid . deceptive company dirty ripoff dogs evil dirt bags cheated employees, screwed the customers even more evil dirt bags Bologna Italy
I am an expatriate american and was engaged as a market consultant by the Italian packaging company Legamatic engineering, S.r.l. . The project was to introduce their products into the U.S. market.
During the whole process of market analysis and implementation I also offered my services (outside of the contractual agreements)in support of the company's internal organization and set up two distribution networks, (in Spain and the U.K.).
After six months of hard work I went to the U.S.A. to attend the PACKEXPO exhibition on the 10th of September 2001. After attending the Trade Show my intent was to meet several U.S. potential partners for legamatic - but alas! due to the tragic events on September 11th my schedule went biserk.
At that point I had decided to go back to Italy where I reside but after listening to our President's speech and of the many fellow patriot americans in which the message was to react, I decided to remain and continue my job in the best ways possible.
I therefore continued my business trip to N.Y.C. (Manhattan) where I was confronted with all the anguish and pain of the only real catastrophic event I ever witnessed in my life. I am originally from CT and N.Y.C. is in my heart!!! My Father was one of the many U.S. soldiers that liberated Italy, during the Anzio invasion II world war.
Upon my return to Italy I gave my report to Legamatic managers. Even in those dramatic conditions my report was comprehensive of viable U.S. contacts and companies interested in business cooperation with them.
I also introduced Legamatic to one distributor interested in representing both the U.S. and U.K. markets. Legamatic's response was ---THEY BACK DOORED ME!!!! and I was not paid for the work I had done incurring in a loss of $15,000.00.
I know that these people are trying to do business in the U.S. but I wish to advise those of you which will be contacted by Legamatic that they will do the same again!

Dear Rip Off Readers, As LEGAMATIC company, we are very sorry to discover this kind of written (and so late). We want to apologize to You all : customer and readers ;the naked history must be the only way to give to You the truly idea of things: Consultant in Italy doest mind employed forever, but only for the time agree. During the time bought at him from our company we suppose to receive a professional service We had an agreement for start businnes in USA, SPAIN, UK; 6 month later we collect : Some businnes card collected in the aile of an exhibition in USA ( people dont even remember him ) A couple of name possible as distributors in Spain and UK where we delivery the first show-room machines and we never collect the money. We received the bill from a couple of trip not very well identified and gave to him some like 30.0000$ At the end of his period We werent able to say :thanks, we are happy but only good bye. During the last couple of years We did not ear him, we lost the money from his distributors, we thought to invest those 30.000$ on him and when we went to the lawyer to try to catch our losen, finally we agre to leave him on his road with the only hope to never cross that road again. Finally, in the beginning of summer we decide to restart to contact USA because its a very potential market for us and a couple of friend gave us the possibility to to discover this web-site and the mud. Yesterday, we signed in the police department the order to prosecuted him and on the basis on that we are here to say: sorry to You all, thanks to all the customer ( more than 8.000 in the last 40 years ) thanks to all the people that can not trust our company but those can come to our company where theyll be welcome to read all the paper because in Bologna is seat the legal site of our company and the place where these kind of gentleman therell be prosecuted.
