Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I bought a brand-new Lenovo G550 compter. I was not told in advance that it would not include installation media with it as all computers have done in the past. I was forced to try to make my own when the laptop was new and I did try.

Recently, my hard drive died. I installed a new one and tried my homemade installation media, which only kind of worked. I got windows but it won't update.

I contacted the company for installation media and was told to hit the 'One-button-reset' and it would reinstall. Except that it won't since it's a new hard drive. When I wanted installation media instead, I was charged $59 for something that should have been included when I paid for my computer or I should have at least been directed to where I could download a copy, and burn it to my own disc for installation.

I should NOT have been charged $59 for something I've already bought!

The dishonesty and greed here is astounding and I'll NEVER BUY LENOVO AGAIN!!!

Problem solved, (I think.)

I've just received a call from Lenovo apologizing for the problem. As soon as I provide the reference number for my call and purchase, they will refund my money. I don't have those with me right now as I left them at home and I'm at work.

I don't know why things went this way, but they say they will straighten it out immediately. He had called in reference to my Better Business Bureau complaint, which I only filed yesterday.

I definitely appreciate the fast action I'm receiving and hope the rest of this goes without problems.

I'll update more if things go awry.

You should learn to read what is written instead of what you asume

I PAID for the software when I BOUGHT my computer.

I still have the same computer.

I followed THEIR instructions to make the disc I've used, which didn't work properly.

But, you're too busy running your garbage mouth to pay attention to what is actually written. You make a lot of wrong assumptions here, boy, and then you look like an idiot.

All I want is WHAT I'VE ALREADY PAID FOR, my computer with it's Windows 7 Home Premium.

So you made a ASSUMPTION as to what software was included. That is NOT a ripoff. Paying for a product or service IS NOT a ripoff. YOU ASSUMED. THAT is where your problem is. What was done in the past may no longer be a successful business plan for them so they no longer include the software. GET OVER IT!!!! You DID NOT read!!! That is NOT Lenovos fault. YOU cobbled together something instead of PAYING for it. When your drive fails, the software YOU installed wouldnt work. You are then made to PAY for it. How is ANY of this THIER FAULT???? So they did not give you something for free, thats not a ripoff. That was the choices YOU made and the actions YOU took. This is NOT a real ripoff. It is the USUAL customer self entitlment. YOU think YOU should get MORE then you paid for. It doesnt work that way. Stop living in the past and join the world in the NOW.

The ONLY dishonesty here is YOU. You use words like "should" "used to" as if they are some form of sheild against your own stupidity. YOU have posted a fake report because they wouldnt give you the program for free. I swear its so true that COMMON SENSE IS A SUPERPOWER these days.
