Lexis Marketing & Research Management Inc ,Market Research & Logistics Company sent unsolicited check to deposit into my bank then call back for instructions.Man harldy spoke English, Steve Jones,Crystal Washinton was not in the office. New York New York
I received a letter with a check for the amount of $3552.33,with instructions to call the phone number for more instructions. Was to ask for Crystal Washington or Steve Jones. Called the number,asked for Crystal, some man told me she was out of office. This man identified himself as Steve Jones.Not even an East Indian Accent, MOST difficult for me to understand.
He told me to take this check to my bank and deposit it into my account and then call him tomorrow and he would give me more instructions. I told him my bank would not be clearing a check for that amount in that short of time. He told me to call him anyways.
Also asked him who the money gram would be going to, he said to call him tomorrow.Letter said somewhere to Canada to the US,another secret shopper it would entail.
Also included was a sheet to evaluate the Money Gram Agency, hence the secret shopper business.
In the letter, the breakdown was as follows:
Evaluation pay + expenses.............................. $400.00
Gap Purchase(Anything of your choice)...............$ 50.00
Wal-Mart(Anything of your choice).....................$ 50.00
Money Gram Transfer.......................................$2900.00
Service Charge by Money Gram..........................$152.33
Total.............................................................$3552.33
After getting off the phone, did a search for this company and found this web-site.
I knew this was something WAY too good to be legit!
