I am writing this so that individuals who are considering getting Homeowner's Insurance will have this information to weigh in the balance whether they want to use Liberty Mutual Insurance.

December 23, 2013 I reported a claim to Liberty Mutual Insurance for damages to my property.

The estimates I received from contractors range from $4000-$12,570.

The estimate to do the job according to Liberty was $1,574.35.  this estimate was determined

January 6, 2014. A check was given to me for $574.35 and I was told to cash this check and there

would be no additional funds to get the work done.  I did not cash the check.

When I refused Liberty's offer it then sent another agent out on February 17, 2014 and estimated the

same work for $2,870.00. By this time I needed to fix the damage, since the damage was water damage,

So I took the offer  of $2,870.00.

I was told the balance would be sent to me when the work is finished.  The work is finished and I sent for the balance of the funds, but as of January 27, 2015 I have not received the balance from Liberty Mutual.

Plus Liberty Mutual reported my water damage in the Lexis Nexis system to make it be freflected as if it is

a real ongoing water problem, which report greatly damaged me.

Additionally, when I notified Liberty to cancel my insurance with them they ignored me and ran up a bill and sent me to a collection agency, which collection agency when it heard my side I never heard from the collection agency again.

I wrote Liberty a letter, CMRR, on Septtember 8, 2014 trying to rectify the discrepancies about the payments. The letter was mailed to the same address that was policy was issued from and my billing was sent from: "Liberty Mutual Office 1210 N Peachtree Pkwy, Ste 200, Peachtree City, GA 30269".

The letter was returned to me with it marked on the envelope "Refused 10-3-14".  When I called to inquire about the reason for the refusal I was told by a woman who identified herself as Ms "Vera" (she refused to give me her last name) that they can not sign for CMRR letters.

When I initially accepted insurance with Liberty March 16, 2010  my insurance preminum was $1,272.00. March 15, 2011 when the policy was renewed it was billed by Liberty for the sum of $1494.00.  March 15, 2012 I was billed $1785.00. March 15, 2013 I was billed $2148.00.  March 16, 2014 I was billed $2,612.00.  From the time I got my insurance in 2010 until I cancelled my insurance June 18, 2014 this was an increase of $1,340.00.

This is the truth.  Use it wisely and determine for yourself.

This is the only claim I have had in my life for homeowner's damages and I am 67 years of age.
