I watched from the inside their hiring process. Who does Liberty Tax have handling YOUR personal information? My bet is out of 5 preparers at least 4 are on floridamugshots.com. Everything from grand theft auto to drug use. Some were even convicted of stealing monies and breaking and entering. If you had your taxes done at Liberty Tax then take a second, go through your return get your preparers name and look them up! The manager of Liberty Tax Seffner is the one that showed me all the criminals she and and the owner personally hired to handle your personal information! Also you might want to find out why it is that the owners of these locations have outside jobs in other industries and are never availible to handle situations that occur with Liberty Tax or United One Insurance. Everything I have stated is a FACT that can be backed up.

I was one of the victims of a woman with three felony convictions for embezzlement. This woman is a career criminal to quote the judge at sentencing. She does not know the truth from a lie.
She stole from her town, a cemetery as well as her own high school alumni association. Our cemetery is still suffering as a result of this crime. We have no more plots to sell but have three acres to mow.
After her jail sentence and a tiny bit of restitution paid, she is a tax preparer with Liberty Tax Service in Ct. I shudder to think of this individual, a true con artist, having access to taxpayer's social security numbers.
I found her resume on an obscure website and it is very misleading and looks like there are bold lies.Her longtime job, a career as administrative aide, is not listed because she stole over $100,000. She does have a tax preparers number from the IRS. I can't believe they would let her prepare taxes if she openly revealed everything about her crimes.
This sleazy character never truly took responsibility for her crimes. She volunteered as treasurer for every organization she could just to get access to their funds. She double sold plots(gross, I know) and kept "selling" and buying back plots in her mother's name. There is no con she wouldn't try.
Am so afraid she will do something with the information she has access to. Also, I thought the IRS would not give a tax preparer number to anyone who was not up to date with taxes owed. This woman never paid taxes on her stolen earnings.
I am praying this creep who's name is changed due to a marriage after prison, is not selling people's social security numbers.
I seriously believe in giving everyone a second chance but not at the expense of innocent people who don't know who is sitting on the other side of that tax office table.

This author was an employee of our company for one tax-season. I'm not certain what she is referring to with regards to employing criminals. I own 5 offices and have employed literally hundreds of team members over the years and to my knowledge we have never employed anyone convicted of "Grand-theft", "Drug-use", "Stealing Monies", or "breaking and entering". With the exception of maybe the "Wavers" who dress in the Lady-Liberty Costume and dance on the side of the road while holding a sign and waving at cars, and We do not allow that part of the staff near any sensitive information. We do not run background checks on the dancing Lady Liberties because they are not in a position to handle information or do anyone harm. Liberty Tax Service is the fastest growing tax service in the nation for a reason and my organization has never been accused of leaking personal information or employing unqualified staff outside of this complaint from this ex-employee.
