Liberty Wireless Dishonest company takes advantage of consumer Liberty Wireless Internet
As an educated consumer looking for less commitment to ANY wireless carrier, I stumbled across Liberty Wireless. This is a company involved with designing a blatantly full fledged fraudulent "service". The trick is, you don't realize it until you are entangled with them. Too late. They've GOT you! Well, I am not going to be taken advantage of this time. I work hard for my money and REFUSE to give it away.
My service was disconnected a total of SIX times within the first month! Did I mention that the disconnects occurred AFTER Liberty Wireless had hit my bank account for absurd sums like $5, $20 or $22?
No rhyme or reason - simply under the guise of "Talk on Minutes". First of all, the phone issued under the plan doesn't allow for a cursory check of ones own minutes (perhaps I would have "managed" them more effectively with this tool??) Secondly, the "notice prior to disruption of service" is a quick text message on your phone MINUTES before they disconnect it so that you'll HAVE to pay for the additional minutes - PLUS the "Transaction Fee". The consumer can DEMAND that the "automatic pay" option be remove the from your credit card. This is what I did believing this would help. Still the disconnects.
I am an internet personality and ATTEMPTED to keep daily track of my account - an impossibility... The billing report is designed to frustrate the consumer but I kept the fight for accuracy and "truth in billing" of my account on the table. I was successful (during my approximate 100 calls) in reaching a Manager, just once. I raved and issued the facts; he challenged me then finally acquiesced. I could tell from his voice that he knows this company rips people off. Quell surprise... no disruption since.
I demanded to be allowed to "Manage the Account" myself, as promised on their Internet site! If I run out of minutes it's my affair. You can't cancel without a $150 fee - even with a legitimate gripe regarding the lack of service and misrepresentation of how the plans work or it will effect your credit report. This is a cost I am willing to eat at this point though. NOTE: I am also willing to participate in ANY Class Action Suit against this sad excuse for a wireless network option for consumers!
