On June 19, 2009 I received and email from Life Enhancement Products informing me of a buy-two-get-one-free sale. I clicked on the center of the email and the link took me the the company's web site. The first thing you see on the web site is a picture of a UPS man with a caption that reads, "Free Shipping on all orders over $99." I looked through the on line catalog, chose my vitamins and called the 800 number to place the order. The woman who took my order never gave me a total, or an invoice number. A few days later I checked my on line card balance and found out the total Life Enhancement charged was more that expected. I contacted the company by email and by phone. Monday morning June, 22nd Lynell Simon, head of the Customer Service Department left me a 10 minute message which made no sense. I called her back and emailed her and here associate again. I stated that I was apparently charged a shipping fee even though their web site clearly states Frees Shipping on orders over $99. I requested a refund of my $7.50 shipping fee. I never heard from Ms. Simon. I was sent the tracking number for the package and could see it would be delivered in a few days. I again called Ms. Simon back and told her to credit my card the shipping fee or I would have to refuse delivery of the package. Again, I was met with silence. So on the day the package was due, I left a note for UPS that I refused delivery. The package and all he merchandise was returned to them unopened. I tracked the packages return to Life Enhancement via UPS. The day it was signed for I emailed Ms. Simon requesting a full refund. Ms. Simon left a long angry voice mail message to me. And then sent a vicious email. Here is a quote:

"It AMAZES me that after all these years you are just NOW questioning our sales. I can only gather from your email that you are doing this to play the pity card when you wrote:

I am disabled with HIV/AIDS and living on Social Security. Your company should be ashamed of itself for trying to take advantage of the week [SIC]There was absolutely NO NEED to have written that! How dare you insult people who actually have debilitating diseases and wouldn'tt even DARE want to deceive or be pitied. Well sir, I dont Pity you, I am ashamed for you! And you should be ashamed of yourself for even trying to bully us continuously by multiple phone calls to take up our call center lines and numerous emails like that one! How dare you try to rip off companies with the excuse of AIDS. That is despicable! Im sure that Anita from Wells Fargo would be VERY upset how you tried to manipulate her!"

I have never, NEVER, been treated like this by any company in my life. I am indeed on Social Security Disability due to HIV/AIDS and I am buying these vitamins under my doctors orders. I have bought from this company for years and never had a problem. Now I am defrauded out of the "Free Shipping" and when I stood up for myself Ms. Simon not only refused to refund the shipping cost, she kept double the amount. I have again put the charge in dispute with my bank and will NEVER buy Life Enhancement products again. Ms. Simon needs to fired without references and I will continue to fight for the return of my $15 shipping fee.

Please boycott Life Enhancement Products.

Thank You,

My card was just credited the full $15. While I am happy to have my money back, and I still like this company's vitamins, I have to say that this was one of the WORST experiences with a company rep. I have EVER had, and Ms. Simon is the head of their customer service department. I'm not sure if I will ever order form them again, I've found another company that sells the similar products. Perhaps if I receive an apology for the way I was treated I would purchase from them again. But I still feel Ms. Simon's behavior was so out of line that she should be let go.

How much was the total for the order?

Why did you not ask for a total for the purchase?

The health problems have no barring on the subject.
