In 2012, in endured a car accident, which left me with a disability.  I filed for my short-term disability with Lincoln Financial Group (which is my employers insurance they offered to the employees).  I filed in October of 2012 for benefits.  I was sent a form which stated that if I get worker's comp. then I need to sign this form so they could get back their monies.  I was not receiving worker's comp and they knew that. This paper was sent to me was not legal. 

I paid for my short-term disability out of my paycheck. It took LFG 7 months to process the claim, pretending they need medical records to support my claim.  They received tons of medical records from all my 7 doctors and it took them 3 days to deny me.  I was sent a denial letter by email, very tacky.  I called the support specialist, Chaley at LFG to ask why was I denied my benefits and she stated that she had mailed me a denial letter and knowing she did not.  It was only sent by email.  Then after my inquiry she finally mailed the hard copy.  

The denial letter stated that I was able to work.  My doctors notes stated differently.  At the same time I am still being treated by my doctors.  The car accident left me with a broken bone in the vertebre, torn discs, buldging discs, neck and back, nerve damage that radiates through my body, many contusions, hard places in the buttocks, which make it hard for me to sit less than 15 mins, hard for me to walk over 100 ft. and abnormality to my arms and mutiple spasms.  Even though they have records and my MRI's show proof of my damages, LFG still denied me what I have paid for. 

Secondly, I had to get an attorney that would take my case on a win lose situation, because LGF has bankrucpt me waiting on payments.  My attorney told me to file for the Long-term disability, inwhich I had not done so and it has been over a year since I been out of work.  I filed for the long-term disability.  Now it is the waiting game again.  I filed over a few months ago and did not hear anything from them.  I had my attorney to call them and find out why.  She did and had words with them.  I then received a letter stating they are working on it and they would get back with me if they needed more information.  They have all the information they need. They are trying not to pay this either. 

I have called the Pres. of LFG Dennis Glass office and they will give a liasion person to call you back with the same bullshit you heard from the rest of the staff.  I took it upon myself to call LGF again.  I spoke to a man, he stated that they were waiting on more medical records from more doctors.  This is just to prolong the agony and to inflict more pain to you.  They do not need more medical records they have plenty.  So for anyone reading this message, please before you sign up at your job etc. with this sorry company, please, please check them out before they take your monies.  Also, employers that use LFG must be getting a free ride on something, this would be the only reason I would think they would use such a scammer insurance company for the employees.  These people are the biggest liars and scammers I have ever seen.

I have taken my case a step further than an attorney.  I sent Pres. Obama an email and I received a call from the President, approx. 4 wks ago, stating that he would take care of this issue.  He really took action.  I received a letter from the National Labor Board and they are doing an investigation.  I truly hope they will do something about this sorry company.  They will take your money, but when you need to recoup from them they will not come forth.  They truly steal and rob you of your funds.  You will be homeless waiting on what is due you from these people.  My advice to all that have been mistreated and lied to by this company is to write the President of the USA.  www.whitehouse.com.  By the way send an email, he really do answer your emails.  He did mine.  He reads 1000 emails a day and take action.  Also, I would love to be apart of a class-action suit against them, because this has to stop.  They fraud the consumer.  So Consumers beware of LINCOLN FINANCIAL GROUP.
