I am a single mother of three working one job and attending online classes. In 2013 I mistakenly thought that I could afford to finance a car so that my family and I could have reliable, safe transportation. I looked around and found a car at a local lot but my credit score was/is terrible so I couldn't get in with the A-list financers. Which left me with Lobel Financial as my only option. I thought that if I was very frugal I could manage the payments and the insurance. I quickly realized that I couldn't afford the car and called Lobel Financial to pick up the car and sell it at auction. I know that the fact that I voluntarily had them "repossess" the car does not exonerate me from all liability.

The car was sold at auction for a very small amount and I was left owing an additional $5000 and change. They immediately came after me for the remaining balance which is actually more than the car is worth according to Kelly Blue Book. Even after explaining that I could not afford to pay $5000 obviously, I mean if I couldn't afford my monthly payments as a single mom, what makes them think I could afford to pay $5000?!

Now I'm facing eviction and having my electric shut off and Lobel is still preparing to garnish my wages. I tried to offer them my tax return but NO that wasn't good enough.

This corporation has no problem putting my kids and I on the street just as long as they get their money!!

They'll get their d**n money because I have no choice.

I might lose my kids, because isn't it illegal to not have power and food for your children?

This corporation needs to be shutdown and the fat cats need to be shown what it's like in the real world for real people that are just struggling to get by.

Hey Ken...she's an UNWED mother with MULTIPLE pregnancies, no money and bad credit.  "Responsibility"?  That's not a word in her vocabulary.  Oh yes lady...I work for them.  I fly around everyday in my Citation X just looking for cars to repo because I have friends who want that exact make and model.

"I mistakenly thought that I could afford to finance a car"  This is YOUR fault.

"This corporation has no problem putting my kids and I on the street just as long as they get their money!!"

Let me correct this statement so it represents the TRUE facts>...

I had no problem putting my kids and myself on the street because of my poor financial decisions.

Doesn't that come a lot closer to the truth?

"This corporation needs to be shutdown and the fat cats need to be shown what it's like in the real world for real people that are just struggling to get by."

What legal reasons could be used to shut them down?  They loaned YOU the money and want YOU to live up to the terms of the loan agreement YOU signed.  Did THEY violate its terms?  Didn't think so.  Tell your kids you're sorry for your poor decision(s).  It IS all on YOU. By not owning up to YOUR failures, you are doomed to repeat this type of scenario.

BTW, "fat cats" is the description losers use to justify bad mouthing a company.  The unions love it.

Nope, I don't work for them.
