I purchased a truck in 2001 and it was financed thru LBAC. After making all of my paments on time for over a year I recieved a phone call saying that my payment was past due and I must pay them NOW. I agreed to pay them with a check by phone (of course they had to add a late charge to it). About 3 hours later I recieved another phone call telling me that I was late and I had to pay NOW. After telling them that I had already made the pament a few hours ago the man told me "your a liar we havent got a pament yet" I hung the phone up. The next morning my mom call and said that they called her saying that they were going to repo my car if I did not make the payment. I called the bank and of course the payment went through, 4 times. Charging $1700 to my checking account all using the same ck#. When I called LBAC they said they did not know anything about that and my payment was past due and that I was recieving a charge of $8 per day added to my principal. After recieving $475 worth of overdraft charges on my checking account they still said they had not recieved my payment a week later and that they did not know where my money was and that it was not their problom. After a lot of scrambling to get some sort of acceptable proof to them they still said past due. After calling around the tenth time I spoke with a supervisor. I told him that I was recording the phone conversation and needed to know where my money was. I about 2 min a miracle happened. They saw where it was paid 4 times. They would not credit it back to my checking account they said they concidered that to be 4 payments. I never got any of my money back and they never paid my overdraft charges. Since the I have been harassed every month on the 20th by 9:30am wanting to know where my payment is. I sold my car last month and have went with GMAC what a relief. LBAC is the most crooked company I have ever delt with and would not advise anyone to use them no matter how desprate for a new car you are..

I just happened to be browsing through the reports when the company Long Beach Acceptance caught my eye, I cant believe after 6 years they are STILL losing payments. They tried to pull that crap with me even threatened to repossess my car. Well I got the copy of the canceled check and I called them from my bank. I made sure to let them know that if my car even looks like someone tried to move it they can look forward to working for me. Lost payments are their problem not yours. Once you hold the canceled check in your hand all bets are off. and they can feel free to quit calling you. They are a bunch of idiots thats why I made sure I cut my 5 yr contract down to 3 and paid their miserable a**** off because they had gotten next to me way too much. Perhaps you can look into getting your car refinanced.
