This is a a buying club not a general credit card. This company has sent me mailers every other month for a year. They are NOT capable of credit repair; the "service" is for overstock hard-to-move merchandise at astronomical prices- laptops, televisions, everything is easily double the cost at any of the other online prices I checked. And you are required to put down 1/3 as a downpayment- which is not mentioned by the LPC representative when you call. The website prices are blocked to "non-members" .

The phone representative refused to give prices, stating (with a colleague coaching in the background) that it was "competitively priced" name brand merchandise. Unfortunately, they did manage to entice an neighbor into giving them her banking information, and she had a very tough time getting her money back.. Also, the "refund" the representative promised was worthless since the 30 day refund is contingent upon return of the catalog and other materials, which did not arrive till a few days before the refund period expired!

And guess what? The '"name brands" on this merchandise includes Naxa, Acer and Coby for electronics- ever heard of those? I guess by name brand they mean they have a brands which have a name. And the prices in LPC's "Lifestyle" catalog are outrageous. The Acer laptop they are selling for $1878 doesnt seem to be a current model. But the other Travelmates laptops I found in the series are all priced in the $800-850 dollar range. Competitively priced???? Who are they competing with? Adding Insult to injury, they also bill you for another $199.00 for your membership. It goes on the card, and you have to make payments whether you have used the card or not. The total cost for joining this club is 398.00! A Costco membership is a whole lot cheaper, and you can actually save money by shopping there- on REAL name brands instead of third rate overstock clearance items.

As for the "cash advance benefit"? It is a referral to a payday loan company, with all of the potential rip-off that implies. It is not available in Nevada ((or AK, AR, CT, DC, FL, GA, IN, IA, MD, MA, MS, NC, NE, NH, NM, NY, ND, SD, OH, SC, VT VA, WV, WI) so the heavy pitch the sales representative gives you when you call which emphasizes this "benefit" and the credit line are misleading. The operator reads as quickly as they can from a script, and won't answer questions about the cash advance.

Don't be fooled! This is a rip-off, no matter how they dress it up. And good luck getting them to take you off the list. After my second call I was promised by Ashley (supposedly a "supervisor") on my third call, Colleen on my fourth call and an incredibly rude and snotty woman named Dawn (activations Dept "manager") on my fifth call that my name would be removed from their database. The pre-screen & opt out notice at the bottom of the letter doesn't work for this offer- not one single offer I have received from them ends in a "0" which is required to use the opt out! In fact all five offers (which includes my nieghbors) end with the same four numbers "9261" Worst of all my name and address are always misspelled! I asked "Colleen" (who was the most polite) where they got my name, she weaseled out of the question, saying it was from a "publicly available mailing list". She could not explain what she meant by that, and claimed it was there for anybody to find. She was great at not answering questions while sounding nice as can be.

The whole thing is misleading, the service is misrepresented and everyone who receives this offer should report to your local attorney general and to the Attorney general in Oregon. The Nevada AG recommends that you NEVER do business with a company that does not provide a legitimate address (LPC has refused to provide the Better Business Bureau with accurate information. See BBB report for more info), and guidelines provided to me by my bank state quite clearly that legitimate credit card companies do not ask for payment up front, will have easy to locate physical addresses, and corporate office phone numbers. LPC has none of these. That speaks for itself.

Take my advice- if you receive this "offer" offer it to your shredder. These people are NOT honest, however much they hide behind their legally worded smokescreens and fast talking representatives
