Complaint Review: Lucidstream - Internet

Hi Peter and Shana, you just can't stop can you.

First of all let me explain that the original post was from one of my staffers who lost their job over the issue at hand. I just received the logins for this rip off report of Lucidstream so I could clear some things up and eventually take this down(I find the negative so disheartening, but there are some items that need to be set straight.)

I used to be one of the owners of the company that was referred to in the first post as losing 100k to these guys. Well that's not true. It was more like $145k, and it wasn't lost as much as taken under false pretense, over-promising,  and underperformance combined with an ego-maniacal named Peter that couldn't admit he was in way over his head and lost our money on the strip gambling. Amazingly, Peter Whitmarsh's megalomania has reached a new high on this rip-off report of Lucidstream. 

The rebuttal, from a so called B.P Anderson out of Switzerland, is Peter fraudulently posting a positive review. It's one of the ways he still believes he is sneaky. If you are going to post, at least have thick enough skin to own the claim and respond accordingly( I'm expecting one after this, because he can't let anything go). The fact is, these two have done very little, except con people with wild claims and good intentions. Ask them for their portfolio of successful undertakings. There may be 3 or 4 things that they can actually prove. 

If there is a real B.P Anderson give me a call or email me and we will talk. If you call me, I will remove this post immediately. But you won't, because you don't exist. Don't you think its a little weird that you didn't talk to Peter and Shana about who this mystery "troll" is and referred to them as "this person"? or have they screwed over so many now, that you really don't know who it could be. But I digress, ...

These two are unfortunately still scouring craigslist.org finding innocent novice folks and taking complete advantage of them. I post jobs every once in awhile to see what kind of bites I get from them.  They are definitely still around. Are you shocked Peter? you didn't think I was going to lay down and let you get away with this, did you? 

They work under assumed names like David White, Marco, etc..but its really just the two of them posing as a larger entity. THEY DO NOT HAVE AN OFFICE, LEGAL TEAM AND/OR PRODUCTION TEAM ANYWHERE, INCLUDING HAWAII, LAS VEGAS, OR SAN DIEGO. Every postal address they have ever registered in California and Nevada are PO Boxes. They are ghosts and nearly untrackable. Their business licenses AND CORPORATIONS in both states are revoked. In fact, they may not even be operating as Lucidstream anymore. 

They do not own anything proprietorially.  Every one of their products is a white label or private label license of someone else. Primarily, 3dcart for ecommerce, and Softlayer/Planet for hosting and streaming servers. You can call Softlayer and they will tell you(if they still have them). They claim to do it all, but they probably know less about it than you. Peter is from a different time of programming and internet, where you could hold everyone hostage with new words, clips and phrases just because no one else knew how.

They talk the talk, but don't have any intention of walking the walk. I wish I would have done more to find out these things before I had the worst failure in my life. They have no intention for your success, only their own. Don't be me. 

I totally agree, these guys should not be trusted. The funny thing is these guys know how to truly scam people and cover it up and of course you will see right after I post this that somehow an anonymous happy client of theirs will rave and rant how good they are, but we all know good clients don't monitor the RipOff Report and then post a sunshine and lollipops raving review right after they see a bad review of a company they work with. It is obviously the company is trying to cover their tracks.

I had contacted them recently and I wish I did my homework and looked them up online, but I was stupid and assumed people aren't out to screw you. I contacted them with a small simple project that I knew was simple, all that was needed was for them to hook up a wordpress plugin and pull in data for it. Shana the initial person I had contact with didn't understand why I needed something so simple and started asking a bunch of non relevant questions. So I tried to simplify it for her and just said I needed a simple plugin installed for my site. She kept insisting there is no such plugin (even though there is) and it was a big custom job. In fact her exact words were: "Enough with the simple, there'd be a plugin that already does what you need. However, we're not aware of one. So we're looking at a custom integration".

Luckily, I found a reputable individual to do it for me for $75.

However, what I find very interesting is I emailed them back saying that I disagreed with them and that there was a simple wordpress plugin to be used (which I know there is because we have used it before) and it wasn't a custom job and that I had already gone with another company to complete the job.

Then their lead scumbag developer who calls himself Dave, but i think his real name is Peter, shoots me an email trying to berate me saying that he really didn't want the job anyways and it could have been done for $25 and he was glad I got ripped off. So here they were the whole time trying to overcharge me that I needed to contract with them to do all this extra work, disagreeing with me that it was a simple job (knowing the wordpress plugin existed) and then he even admits he was lying to me. I would gladly share the emails with anyone. This is not an anonymous complaint.

Typical scam, it's like when you would go to a auto mechanic and need to get one thing done and they tell you that you need a bunch of other things when you really don't.

These guys are unscrupulous and I am very fortunate that I didn't end up doing business with such a dishonest company. I WARN ANYONE that they will do the same thing to you hands down and be happy to screw you. I can't believe this brainless idiot would actually admit to lying in his own email. Don't waste your time with them. Especially their "Lead" developer, he's the true scumbag!

Ok, don't forget now... look for the sunshine and lollipops anonymous posting right after this. Truly ask yourself a question..Why would a company be monitoring the RipOffReport if they weren't ripping people off?

met LucidStream when they answered one of my advertisements 4 years ago.

LucidStream took on some difficult projects that I assigned them and I was
worried at first because I honestly don't trust the users on Craigslist.

Peter Whitmarsh and Shana Whitmarsh at LucidStream came through for me with flying colors, to my surprise. I have spent to date a lot of money, over six figures, with LucidStream doing projects such as video e-commerce, major SEO, branding, animations, commercials for online and TV, Live event broadcasting via satellite, and hundreds of websites.

When I went to visit their facilities of research and development in Hawaii
and San Diego, I was blown away by the number of employees they had working for them. They look like a Microsoft or Google facility with people on skateboards, laser games, indoor golf, and many more pretty cool things.

Their employees were happy and very discreet because they work on
high-security projects.  Peter Whitmarsh and Shana Ehrlich-Whitmarsh are
awesome and great people to work with. They are the warmest and caring
individuals. They can see through B.S. They are sharp, helpful and
insightful business people who have won many awards for their talent and the talent of their special development, design, and research teams they call the Lucidneers. They are dynamic professionals and complete every task I gave them on time. Peter and Shana Whitmarsh go beyond any business to business relationship I have ever given them. They sincerely care about their clients and help you make money with their products promoting your products. Have you ever heard of a Vendor looking for a buyer for your business or investor without you asking them to? Well, if they know you want to sell your business, they'll help you out. I have sold 6 businesses thanks to them. All of my deals have met expectations for the price point I wanted for each business. Talk about going beyond the call of duty.

LucidStream is getting a bad rap from this person who wrote the bogus post. I did some research and found that this author is probably a "Troll," the name given by the 20/20 TV news documentary for one who is stalking or lying about a company because they have certain mental deficiencies and they just can't do business.

I feel this author never contacted LucidStream about anything and was told to write this lie because their company tried unsuccessfully to screw
LucidStream. To LucidStream, I say thank you for all the great work, the
prosperity you have brought to me, and the many successes I'm presently
having and success of the future with video e-commerce.
